My local Walmart has had the shelves marked off with price tags and descriptions since last weekend. Sadly nothing X-wing game related it seems in either the board games or toy sections. Lots of other stuff including SW VII Bop It and Furbacca, good grief.

I believe the new core set will be released at select Target locations at 12:01 am "Force Friday". Many feel that this is FFG's attempt to get the game to the "main stream". Don't forget that Target carried X-wing Miniatures before it took off and most of them had all their product on clearence. There is a prior connection between the two. At my LGS, no one has heard a word of this set. All information points to a big store release.

To be fair, technically if your LGS had heard they would be under the same NDA as everyone else and couldn't tell you if they had or hadn't. Now some stores might break that silence for their customers but some would not.

Which is why LGS are not in on it, and why I suspect they won't be able to order the new stuff from the distributors until the 3rd or 4th.
