Proof of Purchase?

By Doctor X, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Just bought some new ships and noticed again the Proof of Purchase chit. Been meaning to ask about those: Is there something you get for sending them in or what?

While on the subject, what's with the blue dot sticker on the bags?

I hope they eventually do something with them. Between my board games, Xwing, Armada, and IA, I have roughly ninety-billion of them.

Yeah Im keeping them too but I have no clue why.

I know the feeling. I have kept everyone I've gotten in X-wing, Star Wars LCG, Armada, and Imperial Assault.

P.S. Anyone see a pattern in these games?

there is a small recorder in each used for spying...

1st, wrong forum I'm thinking. 2nd, I kept my proofs. The ones that came on x-wing stuff is mixed into a big bag of extra tokens. The IA ones are actually in a plastic box in my tackle box I use for IA. They're in a slot with the crate tokens that are just about the same size which could be handy if I lose one.

As for the blue dot sticker, it's probably a quality control or inspection thing like making sure the right cards have been bagged together.

guys. there is no need to keep the proof of purchase. the sole reason they include them is so that if there are any missing parts, cards or tokens from what ever you bought you message FFG with the proof of purchase and they will send out replacements

if you got a complete item. you can throw them away

Yeah they are used for missing parts and the such.

I've heard of the post office damaging miniatures off of ebay and they require a proof of purchase for your claim if you got insurance so that's the only reason I've seen for keeping them.

Actually, Filter, chose this forum because I was unboxing a new IG-2000 when I poked out and saved the proof and started thinking "Why do they put these in everything? Do they do promotional 'send in proofs of purchase' stuff?"

They might but when I filed my claim for a missing card in my IA core set there were no questions asked. Maybe for more expensive components but my short dealing with FFG customer support lead me to believe that they would not ask for proof of purchase they would just replace the broken component.

There's something going on here.... Not sure what yet but I'm getting my tin foil hat just to be sure.

Great!!! My Nebulon-B didn't come with XI-7s. My AFII didn't come with advanced projectors. My CR-90 didn't come with leading shots. My Victory didn't come with ion cannons or flight controllers. My IA core set didn't come with elite Imp officers or elite royal guards. ;)

Best reason to keep them is if you are missing parts or break or lose something, take a picture and email it. They are great at replacing contents.
