New The Force Awakens TV Spot(spoilers)

So long as it survived without the hand that gave us Luuke, I'm good. (Loved Thrawn trilogy, just thought the clone naming convention was a bit silly.)

People who've owned that lightsaber haven't had good luck with keeping their hands. RIP Finn's hand.

To be fair, it seems the rate of severed limbs goes down with each person the saber is passed on to.

With Anakin, it was all of his limbs.

With Luke, it was just his hand.

Supposedly from the last trailer the saber was passed onto Leia for a time. She seems to have all her limbs intact.

So Finn will lose his pinky finger?

Although from that trailer, it appears that Leia is at least seated, if not lying down, so she might have lost her legs and be recovering post-op.

Shoot, from that trailer all we see of Leia is her hand. It could be all that's left of her.

Though in the case that Leia is in-tact, then we have to assume Finn will be GROWING some apendage.

-3 limbs (Anakin's 1st arm was before he had that lightsaber), -1 limb (Luke), -0 (Liea), +1 (Finn), +3 (????)

Pfft that was leaked months ago anyone who's kept track knew he would be wielding it and fighting kylo.

From what was shown of the comic con behind the scenes, Leia has legs. Prosthetics maybe?

Kind of worried about this one. He goes from Stormtrooper defector to Jedi in one movie?

Maybe Luke trains him at one point.

Doesn't really look like he is trained in that scene. I get much more of a "I have to try and stop you here and now, and this is the only weapon I have" kind of vibe.

I'd like to argue he's not a defector, but maybe using the armour as a disguise, but there's no way I can substantiate those outlandish claims since we've repeatedly seen him in settings that are clearly New Order-specific.

Luke wore a storm trooper outfit and held a saber in ANH. Some trick edits in a trailer for that could make him look like he went from stormtrooper - jedi.

But if he had in one film, that's a hell of an arc to get through with respectable character development. Two things which we've seen sacrificed on the altar of Spectacle in the prequels.

I'm pretty sure it's confirmed he's a storm trooper.

I think you missed my implication. By saying that you could make a trailer for ANH to make it look like Luke went from stormtrroper-jedi, I'm trying to ask "Why is everyone assuming he goes from defected trooper to jedi?" Just because Luke had a trooper outfit for part of IV doesn't make him a defected stormtrooper, and just cause he held a saber doesn't mean he's a jedi. Same could be true for Finn.

Yeah, from what I've heard he is a defector.

Yeah, from what I've heard he is a defector.

I could be a flashback. Maybe there's a time skip in the movie. Maybe the jedi clip is fake and just to get us hyped. Or maybe as Forgotten Lore said, maybe he's using the lightsaber in desperation, and sucks with it.

One thing he does seem to be well trained in is dramatically removing a helmet.

Well then I guess that poster with him holding the same lightsaber and all that is just a big lie.

If he holds it for one scene and sucks with it, its enough to make the poster legit.

Some of us aren't tracking that closely, and staying mostly spoiler-free.

Also placing and removing a hoodie. Everyone who hasn't seen Attack the Block needs to! It's the role that landed him this role.

So long as it survived without the hand that gave us Luuke, I'm good. (Loved Thrawn trilogy, just thought the clone naming convention was a bit silly.)

It only makes sense that every clone's name should have a superfluous U. After all, all a clone is is an extra you.

Suddenly the WiiU makes more sense.
