Advanced Punisher List

Tonight in my League matches, I am going to try this list:

Darth Vader

-Predator

-Tie/x1

-Advanced Targeting computer

Juno Eclipse

-Calculation

-Tie/x1

-Advanced Targeting Computer

Deathrain

-Enhanced Scopes

-Extra Munitions

-Cluster Mines

-Proximity Mines

-Twin Ion Engine Mk II

My basic Idea is to use Deathrain with enhanced scopes to run up against ships and use my action to drop mines on them before they can even move. Once Deathrain is spent, I dont really care if he dies becasue Vader and Juno will finish off the rest.

Dont know if this is good yet, but Ill report back.

Also if anyone has other ideas feel free to let me know.

if you meant to include enhanced scopes its missing. And I personally LOVE maarek Stele as opposed to juno, because it gives a big target over Vader that people would want to kill. Drop Juno to Maarek, and give him predator Lone wolf not Calculation (had acc corrector on him by accident in squad maker so drop it to LW to put ATC back on). 100 points.

i love a certain Deathrain type of build (see below)

if you want two tie advanced i can still use it but the advanced wont get EPTs

marek+title+ATC

vader+title+EU+ATC

DeathRain+ADVsensors+EXMun+connernet+EI

with this Deathrain build you AS to take an action, Lets say boost. then EI to vomit up your bomb (presumably onto someone) and then Barrell roll with his ability (which according to FAQ you can do even if stressed because its a pilot ability much like turd ferguson) then you execute a green manuver to clear the stress

Ok experimental interface just blew my mind.

I was thinking enhanced scopes would increase the likelyhood of throwing a mine on a high ps target but with AS I could boost to someone, drop (using EIcorrect?), barrel roll then move out of the way.

Only got one league game in tonight, but I won. I played the list with Marek and VI instead of Juno and calculation. I played a list of gemmer, corral horn and Wes janson.

Deathrain is fun, but the star of the list was Vader with ATC. That ATC card is just unfair. Vader would target lock (because Janson kept taking his blue locks off), then barrel roll to range 1. Three red vs three green and oh btw here is a free crit. Killed Horn in one shot from Vader, then one from Marek. Punisher threw a prox mine right on Janson blowing up all his shields, then Marek finished him off next round.

I really want to go up against a Deci or fat Han and see how good it will be at widdling them down with direct mines.

This. I did this to a friend flying Tycho the other night. One shot from Vader and he was gone. Lets just say he wasn't too happy with the extra crit...

should do pretty okay vs big ships, however missles are better at taking advantage of low green dice (as the good ones are pretty cheap and available for many ships), while mines just ignore them entirely.

What is the FAQ reference to which you are referring here?

The 7/24/2015 FAQ only has three Rule Book reference Errata changes (barrel roll near obstacles, scope of a single attack, and conditions for being obstructed).

In the "Stress" section on page 17 of the Core Rule Book, it says, "While a ship has at least one stress token, it cannot execute red maneuvers or perform any actions (even free actions)."

I don't see how the free boost or barrel rool that Turr's pilot ability gives him, can escape this restriction, unless I missed something.

Its an interaction in which the controller (you most assumedly) gets to control which order triggers respond.

In this situation Advanced Sensors before you move, (boost)

--Experimental interface (after an action do a thing that says Action:)

-----Drop an (action:) bomb

--------Barrel Roll

--Get stress from EI

Movement green maneuver remove stress, take no action as per (AS)

I believe it is because the Pilot Ability triggers immediately after the bomb drop and before the stress is handed out. Basically, the EI action has not completed yet, so the stress is handed out after the Pilot Ability.
