Draw backs from trying to play a game in mn is it not big state to support gaming . gaming is really a west cost our east cost thing

I wouldnt say thats completely true...

Given the guys playing XWing in the Red River Valley number near 100 by my estimates! Thats just the Fargo and Grand Forks, ND areas. I say near 100 from the number of guys Ive had contact with through leagues, tournaments, etc! The first "big" tournament I entered had almost 40 guys and it has grown immensely since then!

Minnesota has way more people than ND and should have a larger gaming base accordingly, not to mention the home of XWing!

Well I don't know about you but being in Minnesota the cost of gaming is not that high. In fact it is probably cheaper being in the Midwest.

Seriously is there a different cost for fantasy flight's products? I thought retail was the same everywhere.

Spell check is your friend.

Im in ND and I order almost all my XWing products from MM! MM is in Missouri and has the lowest prices and quickest shipping for me. Local stores are 20-35% higher, plus 7.5% sales tax on top of that!!

Around the brainerd area there no players

are there no players, or there no players with you

Brainerd has 13,500 people. What did you expect? It's gonna be hard to find people with similar interests in a relatively niche hobby like X-Wing with such a small population.

Lord Vader, the Rebels have outline their base with suspended TOW-cables right at leg high level. We cannot proceed any further. please don't choke me

Nope, I call shenanigans. Brainerd is a tiny town, but it's only an hour from St Cloud and only two hours from Fantasy Flight HQ. If "frogy84" wants to play and has a car, he can find a game.

i have asked the stories in st cloud that sell x wing if the have a group that plays but nope

Holy crap, I would be there often.

Alright enough with the troll stuff. I don't think he is trolling he just doesn't have the best written communication skills.

frogy84, you are in FFGs backyard. Go there and play with the pros.

I agree. This thread is rising to the level of online bullying. I'm Sorry I contributed.

There is no indication the rules set is changing or being updated to 2.0. Quite the contrary actually, the spoiled bits from the Ep 7 set show that the new Core Set is completely compatible and merely introduces a new mechanic or two.

We won't see the Rebels stuff (Wave 8 and Gozanti) until next year. Possibly Q4 2015 but I seriously doubt that.

And a new damage deck

Which is by no means required for someone playing casually like it appears is the case here.

the biggest problem i have is ever thing is limted runs of 1000 ships that they always run out before i can get my hands on them ffg and there limited runs is really a pain

Everything is and has been reprinted multiple times. You can easily get a hold of ships from various online stores or even FFG directly since you can drive to their own store.

They reprint everything as it sells out. The only difficult ship to find right now appears to be the HWK-290.

why do people want me to drive to the citys really not happening just to play a game our to get something hell i haven't been to citys in over 16 yrs. Never been to anything down there never seen moa any of the zoos valley fairi mean 3hrs in a car is not for me to shell out 100s to 1000s to go down there

Okay then.

Spell check please.

The English language is going to hunt you down for this atrocity!

But after reading this more than once with my decoder, I think the answer to your problem is to just order from Barnes & Noble. They usually have a good stock of X-Wing goodies.

Saw a post on Reddit that retailers have received notification from FFG that Wave 8 may be available in November.

Part of the problem is that he is from Minnesota!!! LOL!

Hey, whoa don't blame Minnesota for this. First off, **FFG** is from Minnesota. :P And some of the best players and playtesters from around the country live and play here.

Second of all, we actually attempted to help this individual on our Twin Cities X-wing page on Facebook, and while there was no consensus on whether or not he is a troll, there was a definite majority that eventually decided he was impossible to communicate with, would not follow any help or advice offered, argued with every suggestion made, and spiraled every discussion into an illogical, hard-to-read series of tangents, and he was eventually, if somewhat controversially, removed from the group as a result.

I honestly do not know if he is a troll, suffers from some sort of learning disability, or what, but he was extremely difficult and argumentative and after about the eight post he created and instantly derailed into madness, he was removed from the group. Take that as you will, and proceed with caution.

But whatever you do, leave the Twin Cities out of it. For one thing you're insulting FFG's very home, you philistine. ;)
