Wave 7 was officially released this week as "in stores". Wave 8 (the Rebels stuff you speak of) is still in development and is not yet released. Maybe someone else who has 'spoiled' information on the new core set can speak more accurately to that, but I think the guesstimate release date for it is September 4th...

There is no indication the rules set is changing or being updated to 2.0. Quite the contrary actually, the spoiled bits from the Ep 7 set show that the new Core Set is completely compatible and merely introduces a new mechanic or two.

We won't see the Rebels stuff (Wave 8 and Gozanti) until next year. Possibly Q4 2015 but I seriously doubt that.

This year, for the fourth GenCon in a row, FFG has released new ships there that weren't yet available in stores. That's why Wave 7 has been fully spoiled and played with for a few weeks, but has just shown up in stores.

Nothing is becoming incompatible, and since that has been a nonstop topic of conversation here for over a week, I'm sure you have access to that information, too.

Again, the weight of evidence is that you're either a troll or you're simply not reading the information you've been given (starting with, but not limited to, the core rulebook).

I might have played that long butt i don'tknow what gen con is our what for. i not very informed of stuff about xwing because i don't know where to find some of it. and i been ready rules was just trying to gey info on how people get stuff before it released at b&n where i been buying my stuff lately

Wave 7 actually hit stores just a day or two ago.

Wave 8 might be in stores by the end of the year, but probably not till early next year.

The new core set should be announced and released on sept. 4th or VERY quickly thereafter

The gozanti huge ship is currently at the printer and "MIGHT" be out by December.

Some people who attended the GenCon convention a few weeks ago were able to get an early release of wave 7, so they have been playing with it for a little less than a month now.

What might also be confusing you is Vassal. Vassal is an online tabletop simulator that people use to play physical games on the computer (including x-wing). The people who created and maintain the x-wing stuff for vassal add any previewed content that we know about as soon as it is revealed, so people who play the game on Vassal have been able to play with, for example, most of the wave 7 stuff for a couple months now, while those of us that only play real games (as opposed to virtual) have had to wait until now.

I myself hope to get my first game with wave 7 in tomorrow.

Well, for a start, for a guy who claims to be 31, your grammar and spelling is terrible You're either from a non-English speaking background (which is fine), or you're much younger than you claim to be. Given the content of your posts include playing with your brother, not really reading the rules, not understanding why people don't max out a ship's capabilities etc., I'm inclined to think it is the latter. I'm 32 and your posts do not read to me as someone who is only a year younger. They read like a kid, or a young teen.
