A bomb that does not exist yet, but should

Flechette Bomb - 2 points

Drop it like a normal bomb

When it detonates, all ships in range 1 receive a stress token.

Elegant. Simple. Powerful.

A good compliment for an ion equipped y-wing

Another bomb which I think could be interesting would be one that becomes a permanent asteroid.

I like both of these ideas

Guided Bomb (not sold on the title or price)

When you reveal your maneuver dial, you may discard this card to drop one Guided Bomb token.

At the start of the Activation Phase, you may place a 1 Straight template between any two guides on the token, and move the token to the opposite end of the template, inserting it into the opposite guides. Then, the bomb token detonates.

When this bomb token detonates, each ship at Range 1 of the token suffers 1 damage. Then discard this token.

I picture a hexagonal token, at at each corner is a small guide. Idea being, you deploy the token as you would normally deploy a Seismic Charge. Then, once you see where all the ships land, you can move it a 1 speed in one of six directions to modify its placement just before it detonates.

Droid Mine, scum only. 2 hull, 3 ag:

At the start of each combat phase, the player who dropped this mine may make 1 ranged attack at a ship at range 1(attack 2). When this bomb is destroyed, all ships in range 1 suffer 1 damage.

Buzz Droids. Like a Prox mine, but a Face-up damage card. Boring. simple. great.

I'd go with a debris field rather than an asteroid, but that's just because I can visualise it better in my head. (Basically a bomb designed to create a cloud of space junk.)

A bomb big enough to be an asteroid would probably be large ship only.

Or it could take up 2 bomb slots, so only dedicated bombers could carry it (and only by sacrificing all their bomb bay space to do so).

Gravity Mine. Hands out Tractor tokens to anyone that runs over them.

More of the funky stuff please ;)

Discharging tokens doesn´t mean they always have to be bombs ;) (it can also be supportive for you instead of destructive for the enemy ;) )

Distraction bomb (lasers): (affecting actions)

All enemy ships in range 1-2 cannot perform actions next round.

Gravity bomb: (affecting maneuverability)

In range 1-2, after performing your maneuver, you have to barrel roll to the bomb direction (you cannot boost or barrel roll this round) (Or something similar affecting maneuverability).

Target Lock buoy": (affecting ordnances)

Small token letting you skip the "spend target lock" activity for firing torpedoes and missiles when you are in range 1-2.

Tracking buoy: (affecting maneuverability)

Small token: When you perform a maneuver inside range 2 or finish inside range 2, you may treat this maneuver as a white maneuver this round (like a Leia token ;) ).

This reminds me that i want to take all the mines and bombs I own and play with them as obstacles that explode

Anti-Pursuit Device

Actions: Drop this device using the 1(Forward) template.

When an enemy ship acquires a target lock, it must lock onto this device if able After an an enemy ship acquires a target lock this device is removed.

Weaker than Kagi but good in a punch.

Waiting for a mine that shoots; I think there's one in the Essential Guide to Technology, made by Arakyd that is stationary Ion Cannon; it comes in standard blaster flavor too.

Hilarity would be a 5 point mine that targets 1 ship (any ship!) Within range one with a 2 dice Ion attack.

This would be nothing else like just a bigger bomb token ;)

How about:

Antimatter Bomb:

4pts

Bomb

Reveal your dial to drop this bomb as normal bombs. At the end of the Activation phase, roll 1 attack die on every ship within range 1-2 of the bomb. Focuses and Critical Hits are turned to hits.

A bomb I would like to see is a Quasi Black hole bomb. 1 round after being dropped it detonates and stays on the table till the end of game. Any ship that touches the proton bomb token is instantly lost. Any ship within range one of the token counts all its maneuvers as red maneuvers but also gets a free 1 left or right bank maneuver that doesn't give the ship a stress token.

Neutron Bombs should be in this also but I am not sure what they should do game wise.

Their should be a upgrade for proton weapons in this game. "Neutron Enhanced Package" it can only be used with one proton weapon. The proton weapon this upgrade is used with counts all hits as critical hits. Proton Bombs have triple range. Weapon ignores shields. The cost should be high to have this upgrade, say 10-15 points maybe more?

Boarding torps need to be made for this game, however they would only work on epic craft.

They have a missile kind also.

Mara jade will work even better. You can use that multiple times. But you can't have both work.

Flash Bomb

Drop as a typical bomb, and detonates at the end of the Activation phase.

Treat all ships that have a Flash Bomb detonate inside of their front firing arc, and within range 3, as having a Blinded Pilot. The next time a Blinded Pilot attacks, do not roll any attack dice.

But Mara Jade is imperial only.

Not really - the fragments would expand when the bomb is triggered, it wouldn't need much storage space.

I could see that for debris, but asteroids are solid.

As long as we're talking crazy,

Temporal Flux bomb: (Yeah, I know. Wrong franchise.)

Drop as a normal bomb.

This bomb detonates at the end of the activation phase. All ships within Range 1 of the bomb undo the maneuver they just did.
