So has it been confirmed by anyone who got one, that you can move and then slam and drop a bomb that doesn't require and action, but when you move?
thanks,

Edited by eagletsi111There's nothing in the rules to suggest you can. The SLAM reference card says "To SLAM, choose and execute a maneuver on the ship’s dial." Going by the rules as written, you don't reveal a maneuver, so you can't drop a bomb that's triggered by revealing a maneuver.
The article, obviously, takes the other position. Articles aren't rules text, but they are widely seen. So... ?
Do you slam when you reveal your dial? Y/N
Edited by PewPewPewIt would be a bit strange for slam to only work with bombs and mines that require actions.
Sadly that's how it seems to read as of now.
Edited by GroggyGolemThere has been a bit of discussion about it on the rules forum

Consensus says "Wait for the FAQ/Errata"
I'm guessing that you cannot SLAM if you were ionized, since you didn't reveal a dial in the first place.... or can you? Nobody's stopping you from SETTING a dial, you just don't REVEAL it for your maneuver, so maybe you CAN?
K-WING AND SLAM
AND WELCOME TO THE JAM
I contend that you are actually revealing a dial when you SLAM. Since you can completely change your bearing from your previous maneuver. Technically you are changing your dial and revealing a new maneuver to your opponent. Obviously that's how FFG intended the SLAM action to be used. They wouldn't have put a SLAM plus Bomb scenario in the blasted article.
The text on the SLAM reference card is just poorly written. Instead of saying "...choose and execute a maneuver on the ship's dial." It should have said: "...set a maneuver on the ships dial, then reveal and execute that maneuver."
Or just add this on the bottom of the card: "You may drop a bomb before you execute a SLAM maneuver."
Wave 7 takes ambiguous rules to an all new level. Need that FAQ quickly FFG....

Half the reason I want a K-Wing.

Actually, the ion token rules DO tell you to not set a dial in the planning phase.

No, you're not. The SLAM reference card doesn't say you set and reveal a new maneuver, or even that you should use the dial to choose a new maneuver--it says you choose and execute a maneuver that's on your dial. I could do that by pointing at the insert card that comes with the K-wing, or from memory alone. The dial is not involved in SLAM, except that you're restricted to the set of maneuvers that appears on it.
Obviously that's how FFG intended the SLAM action to be used. They wouldn't have put a SLAM plus Bomb scenario in the blasted article.
Articles are not rules text. I agree the article is the sticking point, though--without it, I don't think there'd be any ambiguity at all.

They're too busy hunting down and destroying the Jedi Force Awakens Product Spoilers to answer insignificant questions about the operational status of this battle station starfighter.

Nothing to clarify. The card(s) clearly state how they work. Some just wished Advanced SLAM (and some of the bombs) worked differently.
I would probably expect a new FAQ to be released sometime between the 4th and the 11th.
EDIT: the developer's article clearly stated you could drop a bomb before revealing your SLAM maneuver, so the fact that there's still discussion about it means we need an official ruling.
