Fallout 4: Who's Getting Excited?

By Sergovan, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Fallout 4 is coming up soon. It will release on Nov 10.

Are you excited?

P.S. There is Fallout: Shelter if you can't wait that long.

I'm already at like half chub over it. Also shelter has all but consumed my life. I am so unproductive at work right now.

Yeah i have fallout shelter on the ipad constantly.

Cant wait for F4

Fallout 3 made me buy an Xbox 360. I'm trying to decide which platform I should buy for Fallout 4. It's silly, but that series of games has had such a huge impact on me that I'd actually consider a new platform just to play them.

Speaking of systems, my wife and I had gone back and forth on which system to buy and her definitive argument was that the X-box controller ergonomically fits her small hands better than the PS4 does and doesn't cause her hands to hurt. Since she plays more than me, we will be getting the Xbox one when we have the built up capital.

OH CRAP YES.

Already paid for on steam. Cannot wait. I've been upgrading my desktop all summer, primarily for the glory that will be FO4.
New graphics card, new SSDs, and three 27" monitors to stretch it across. Errrggghhhh

If you get the kinect you get the bonus utility but other than that it is just fan boys losing their minds like they always have and always will. I play with the X1 and love it. I'm sure there'll be some minor uses of the kinect on F4 and I'll smile and nerd out about them in front of my PS4 owning roommate.

Im going for PS4 for F4 as it looks to have better graphics capability and mad max on it looks like its going to be epic too.

I bought a 360 for fallout 3 as well and i was pretty loyal to the xbox platform but since xbox one is only really going to be able to let me play a few old games (and i may as well just keep the 360 for when ive got the urge) and im going to have to buy all new controllers anyway i may as well switch to ps4

I also (and they may have removed this) do *not* like the idea that the xbox one is constantly 'on' and scanning my room to see how many people are there to play, etc etc

So i think a platform shift is in order for me. From looking around and asking about i think the PS4 will have more long term life in it and most my friends have gone for PS4

I know xboxone is now being made backwards compatible for 360 games but i think i'd made my mind out before they decided to do that so it was a bit too late on their part.

Still working my way through Fallout 3 (started a few months back). Haven't played in a while. Too much X-Wing on the brain.

I am very excited for it, gonna be so broke buying all the cool games this holiday season.

No next gen consoles for me, ta. In fact, I might even be ditching my home internet account full stop.

My birthday is July 12; my gift was an Xbox One, primarily for Fallout and Battlefront (and Destiny, of course).

It was one of the driving factors for me, too. If you do end up with an Xbox--and for anyone else who's interested, I guess--I'm Vorpal Sword on XBL, too.

This girl's taking a whole week off work for it! I can't wait to wander the waste lands again. The excitement is real! I sadly missed the... what? 5 minute? window to get a pipboy edition though

Yeah, that went fast...Just one reason why I'm not a huge fan of collector's editions of things. It's a gimmick I'll be fine living without

They actually had the factory make quite a few more once they saw demand but eventually the factory told them they had to stop as they had other customers waiting and couldn't put them off any longer.

I was tempted but decided just to go for the regular version.

now they need to make a new KOTOR game!!!! but really looking foward to Fallout...

I'll raise my long scrawny fingers in the air for a vote for Xbox controllers. I understand there are pros and cons for all platforms but I just keep coming back to Xbox. I have owned both gaming PC's and PS's in the past.

I'm excited. I've been enjoying Elder Scrolls Online lately and am very much going to miss it.

Also, Battlefront. BAM

Episode VII. BAM

Having a baby. BAM

Going to be great summer but there's only room for 3 of these. The kid might have to go.

I started to play fo3 today been decapatating raiders for hours, it'll hold me over till number four hits.

I'm enjoying Fallout Shelter as well, its a cute little free phone app game =3

Much excitement. Put too many hours into 3 and love Bethesda games anyhoo. Lots of good times will be had. I hope they have some version of the bloody explosion perk.

Just curious, why FO3 instead of New Vegas to tide you over? I found New Vegas a much better game overall.

I played through that and all its dlc earlier this year where as I haven't played three for a few years and I got the game of the year edition in the summer steam sale.

Pass. I want more like the original Fallouts. I don't like the shooter versions.

It's definitely not the same experience as Fallout 1-2, but I do like Bethesda's Fallout games.

Are you familiar with Wasteland 2 ?
