I cannot, for the life of me, find a copy on DVD. Like, anywhere. Except Amazon, and last I checked it was like $50 or so. Can't do that. That's too much money that I could spend on plastic crack.

/opinion While Episode 1 is bad, it's not ET bad. Podracing, Liam Neeson, and the Epic lightsaber duel at the end ALMOST make up for the politics/Jar-Jar. /endopinion

I find it incredibly ironic that the supposed "worst" star wars movie is super hard to find and super expensive when you find it!

That being said, you should totally get the saga blu ray set, it's worth every penny.

It's too bad the Gungans basically ruined Episode I with their over-the-top silliness. I almost could have lived with it if they had had a more minor role, like the Ewoks in RotJ. Also, the idea that Anakin somehow built C-3PO as a small child is stupid. However, podracing was awesome. In fact, Episode I Podracer is my all-time favorite N64 game. Someone needs to come out with a tabletop or board game version, cough...FFG...

Also, the idea that Anakin somehow built C-3PO as a small child is stupid. However, podracing was awesome. In fact, Episode I Podracer is my all-time favorite N64 game. Someone needs to come out with a tabletop or board game version, cough...FFG...

To be fair, the kid's been working in a droid shop all his life. He probably knows a few things about 'em. I never really thought the whole child-building-a-droid thing was too far-fetched. It's not impossible.

And I friggin loved the podracing game. Had it on the PC as a kid, would be ecstatic to play it again. Need a flightstick again...

But how would a droid that, as C-3PO itself says, is really only useful for translation be able to help around the house? His arms don't even bend. Anakin's mom didn't need translation services, she needed someone to wash the dishes — an activity C-3PO does not appear capable of doing.

I need this in my life - where and how did you get the minis and tabletop game bits? Looks like the minis from back when Episode I came out and maybe a Print & Play job?

The complete saga on blu-ray is being re-released in early October. There will also be single editions in which the movies come in tin cases.

I remember those! I had most of those same ones, actually. Anakin and Sebulbaa, and...I forget the name, but that blue-ish one in the top left-ish. Not Dud Bolt or the green one, whose name escapes me too.

I miss that game. Only racing game I'd ever actually play.

I designed a pod racing variant using most of the X-Wing game mechanics, the models are still available if you look for them and can be made compatible with the X-Wing bases. There are 23 different pod racers in all.

That was always my thinking on it too. He didn't build him from scratch, he likely found a bunch of parts or the husk of C-3PO and spent time putting it back together.
