Rogue Squadron

X-Wing Only

Ship gains one EPT slot up to a maximum of one.

This card has a negative point cost.

Cost -1

Title 2-

Rogue Leader

Unique

X-Wing Only

Can only go on a PS 4 or higher.

Ship gains one additional EPT slot, up to a maximum of TWO.

Cost 1

The original idea was to give a discounted EPT to X-Wings, but I figured a negative point cost title would do more things, by allowing a naked X-Wing to be available at 20 points. The Rogue Leader title costs more, but will allow you to have two EPTs. Naturally your best leaders will be those who already have EPT, so folks like Luke and Wedge will get more out of this. Hence it actually has a cost.

Stacking those EPTs just makes the ship more expensive.

What's to stop me from putting this on a ship that already has an EPT slot just to get the -1 point?

Nothing, and that's the idea. Considering the base X-Wing is arguably slightly overcosted, especially after seeing the comparable Khiraxz being 1 point cheaper it gives you the option of simply taking a 1 point discount on any given x-wing.

I like the idea of creating two seperate Titles. And i also like that one is a cost reduction. But i would like to see one of them to offer either a barrel roll or boost.

I like the first one the second one is not good. It's the a wing fix and no one really uses it for free and especially considering this will cost 2 points

I like this fix overall. It is useful but not overly powerful or reaching for what needs to be done. However, I feel that the Rogue Leader title needs to be modified in some way to make it different from A-Wing test pilot. I think the double EPTs is a niche that the A-Wings should keep...just like double mods the interceptors should have. It makes them a bit more unique.

What about something like this?

Reduce the cost of an equipped modification, droid, or torpedo by 2 points, to a minimum of 0.

It makes it different than doubling up on an EPT, which detracts from the A-Wing. It also allows for multiple options. You could take a free flechette torp, or R3-A2. You could even spring for a 1 point Hull Upgrade or a 2 point engine upgrade or R2-D2. It lets you customize some of the X-Wing's weaker areas for a little cheaper. It also encourages you to fly at least two X-Wings in a list, which feels pretty thematic.

Overall, I like the direction you are going with it though. It wouldn't surprise me that in the future we would see the various squadron leader titles for all of the different squads. Can't wait to see what they'll come up with.

The problem I have is the first one. Get an EPT and a negative point cost. You're doing nothing but gaining something here. Look at the A-wing fix. It at least took away the missile slot. And, as the first reply stated, it doesn't really fix the problem. The X-wing is overlooked because of its cost. Adding an EPT just emphasizes the problem

Forget it, The T-70 is way better than any title.
