Just a suggestion: To all those that have complained about PWT's destroying the feel of the game as "dogfight simulation." Maybe you will enjoy the purity that comes with only flying ships with forward arcs and some fun and funky maneuvers. Restricting both players to hypothetical new ships might provide the experience you seem to be looking for. At least until a new Falcon expansion drops.

If anything it only makes the planning phase more important unless you have a PWT and don't care where you're going

except during wave 5. It's arguably detrimental to block a PWT instead of rolling more dice at it, and god alone knows blocking a phantom was not only 3 times as hard but whisper's ACD + FCS + ability often didn't give half a ****
now, the only thing that's different is that you got conner nets, which are like blocking if blocking involved APLs and projectors which always rolled hits and dealt two ion tokens.

But don't worry there will likely be a Falcon title that adds one firepower instead of just having 3 falcons. As if you need more than one, you can count on another millennium falcon coming after Episode 7 for the Resistance (sub)faction.

PWTs are great for playing a game with three little girls.
Seriously. The kiddos loved playing with me when two of them each played a Rebel YT ("Chewie" was fun to say, and C-3PO was a fun guessing game) and my 6 year old played a Decimator. I teamed up with her with a Defender.
Loads of fun. Easy to learn. Giggles and "zoom"s all around.

we'd be threading real close to GW territory without a substantial "aces" style repack there, considering it's still the same exact ship from the OT
plus, the Resistance isn't a sub-faction. It's just the rebellion with an inverted color-scheme, both in game and in movie.
People have been screaming about turrets forever. The easy and real answer is that all ships should be able to block line of sight. But since this is a 3d environment it does not work. The Large ships can block line of sight now, so there is that.
Turrets are part of war... deal.

the leak showing the rule book said there is 5 sub-factions, but that's for another thread.
the leak also clearly laid out that it's rebellion: rebel + resistance (rebsistencetm), imperial: empire + first order (impdertm), and Scum & Villainy (sillainy!)

For now we will have rebel/resistance, imperial/1stOrder, and Scum & Villainy. That being said how long will it stay like that, it could easily turn into Imperial vs Resistance vs Rebels vs 1stOrder vs Scum vs Villainy for 6 factions. ![]()

but take a look at all the ships that can now take it.
Autothrusters fixed 3 problems.
- The first is the lack of value a natural boost had. Thanks to EU every ship could have boost so all the natural boost was is a 4 point discount and an open modification slot.
- To take power away from all the out of arc attacks that were prevalent throughout the game after wave 4.
- To give some advantage back to defending at range 3 thanks to HLC which pretty much removed the range 3 agility bonus from the game in its entirety.
That being said thous I am not a fan of the proliferation of boost actions now. I think it is good enough that every ship could take thier modification slot and grab a boost, Still was it needed on some of the new and spoiled ships? Boost now has a higher value thus it should come with a higher point cost on any newly released ship.

if you want to get purity .. try playing movie canon only i.e. if its not in the original 3 films its not in the game

Thrusters are amazing design and a cry for help that the game wants to +and really should) abandon green dice for armada defense tokens ![]()
