I normally participate in tournaments with a focus on winning, but not with conventional lists. However, the local store is having an unofficial Wave 7 release event and I'm looking to simply have a good time while offering tough competition (pilot skill; not list chicken). With that in mind, I'm looking at using a couple of different variations on lists built around Eaden Vrill.

List 1:

Vrill w/ Lando; EI

Jek w/ R5D8; Hull Upgrade; PtL

Hobbie w/ R3A2

The thought of this list is very enticing because I enjoy my Xwings and flying underused pilots (Eaden and Jek). Jek is such a good time to fly because he can be very aggravating for opponents (same with Lando).

List 2:

Vrill w/ HLC; Lando; EI

Dagger Bwing w/ Flechette Cannon

Dagger Bwing w/ Flechette Cannon; E2; Jan Ors

This iteration offers more hitpoints and stress producing shots. It also ups the damage output with an HLC and gives larger defensive benefits for Eaden to endure.

In both lists, I would use Eaden to block, not outmaneuver opponents since he is likely to move first and has a large base.

I'm a die hard Rebel player, but I've thought about running an Imperial three ship list as well:

Vessery w/ HLC; Outmaneuver

Maarek w/ Predator; TIE/x1; ATC

Colzet w/ TIE/x1; ATC

Now if I could just bring myself to betray my faith in the Rebellion...

The problem with the Dagger B's and Eaden is that you neuter then strong attack of the B-wings to add 1 attack die to a turret.

How about this instead? Keeps the B firepower up, throws stress, and gives you a decent defense on Eaden:

Use Tactician instead of Flechette Cannon and the B Wing firepower issue is solved. Maybe 1 Flechette and 1 Tactician to spread it out a bit.

It's not unique, it's Limited. So you can only have one on each ship, but you can have multiple copies in each list.

I'm more inclined for my flavorful Xwing version.

I offer a sum total of zero advice to the actual squad, but have you considered changing the name to "The Thrilla in Vrilla"? Old school boxing reference is always a win!
