Red B-Wing in Rebels Season 2 Trailer

By TasteTheRainbow, in X-Wing

One option that would be interesting on a B-Wing would be exchanging a torpedo tube for a missile tube, similar to how the Y-Wing can get a bomb slot. Given Extended Munitions, that would be a bit of uniqueness for the B-Wing.

It needs a bomb slot because it's supposed to be a bomber. But they already used the trick of kitting out the torpedo slot for a bomb. Maybe if they used the cannon slot for the bomb, or just a title that added a bomb.

I must have said something poorly.

The B-Wing should not be given the use of bombs.

Instead, it would be interesting if the B-Wing were able to give up a single torpedo slot and gain a single missile slot.

Anyone else sick of the generic expansion Blues? I have an inkling to paint one of those like the Rebels one to go with my 3 Aces Bs. Has anyone painted that yet?

Frankly, I'm sick of every b-wing. I'm so tired of looking across the table and seeing a pile of b-wings. It's cheaper than fat Falcons, and more annoying pre nerf whisper.

Here's an image for anyone looking to paint their model:

Heheh. It's fat.

And definitely a prototype. The actual B-Wing render they had on the site a while back was wildly different.

Thanks! Gotta say it is too fat. From the trailer it looks like this was pieced together on a scrap yard planet. Makes sense considering the design of it, but hopefully that's the only the prototype.

Anyway, thanks for the paint job for reference!

They should add a bomber pack with only torpedoes and missiles that take up 2 slots and make them uber good. Most of those ships don't use those slots up currently.

I could see a Phoenix Squadron A-Wing since according to the databank the A-Wings in ROTJ were a newer model significantly modified from the ones Phoenix Squadron uses. Whether the same is true of the B-Wing is unknown though.

The paint job is based on US prototype aircraft by the way:

Bell x-1? Chuck Yeager? Fastest man alive? A real life rocket plane? Too cool for this site. We only play with toys here.
