I'm wondering if I should buy 3 YV-666, and would that be a good build?
Do you think 3 YV-666 are a good build?
Here's the schematic of the ship.

I've been flying 3 Hounds with K4 and Dampeners, and it's been doing very well for me. Destroyed a Han/Horn and Dash/Horn with it with 0 causalites. You'll have to deploy from the start zone in such a way that you'll be able to cover your backside, but it's doable. Arc dodgers will give the build a problem, but if you've got 3 you can cover each other's back some. You'd need to take out those arc dodgers first if you can.
It has potential.
You have +4 points per ship, so "How best to spend 4 points on a Hound's Tooth" is the question.
I'm going to throw in with Tactician, Maneuvering Fins, and Intel Agent.
I think a pair of YV-666's with a few small supporters is better.
You need the extra points for some important upgrades. Eval for example really needs to have a secondary cannon.

It's hard to say no to 36 hit points and six ships' worth of firing arcs. TLTs will certainly have problems dealing with them.
As for the four points . . . I'm really feeling Engine Upgrade. Run one on each edge, one on the middle. Based on the enemy's deployment, slow roll with one and use boost to flank with the other two. Plus, it helps to make up for that hideous turning circle.

If you're flying 3 of them, Eval probably isn't showing up.

Right on Bro... that is why I think you go with Bossk, Eval, and a few cheap support ships and roll with more upgrade options.
Either way, this is a great ship for SCUM and for the game as a whole.

A guy in my group is thinking 3 YV's and a Z. 40 hull points and an extra 2 red dice. Doesn't seem awful, sort of a variation on BBBBZ, though a single Z would be easier to take down than upgraded YV's, so if you're in an attrition fight, you might end up losing thanks to it.

So you guys are thinking Eval? 180 degrees of HLC is certainly tempting, but I'm a lot more drawn to Latts as a wingman for Bossk than Eval. Amazing support ability that'll really help kick Han and B-Wings in the teeth.
now you cant load them up with Tacticians .......NO ![]()

Both work, it depends on what you want to do on the field. Stopping and letting go with Manglers and or HLC is great. That is why I say bring a few cheap Z's to cover the flanks.

I think it depends, if you think you will actually run that list more than a couple of times, then sure. Otherwise no. A lot of room and money for ships that just gathers dust. 3 YV-666 should be alright if flewn well!
Meh, I plan to fly 1 YV-666 with 2 Firesprays.
I think the looks on your opponents face when you place them would be worth it... It the same reasons I fly 4 space cows from time to time!!

Oooh. That sounds like fun.
What about 3 YV's all with tacticians and outlaw techs? Seems like the outlaw tech is a near must take on a YV.
Latts Ravi + Weapons Engineer + K4 Security is also a great build.
I just think the 3 crew slots offer so much for the ship that running them close to naked just so you can put 3 on the board is a waste. I would only ever field one myself because I only plan to buy one. But if my bro buys one too I might play around with 2 YV squadrons.
