if laetin saves a focus for defense, it seems like its nigh-impossible to hit him if the first attack misses. if the alpha strike takes out one y-wing, the tlt's wont have enough to punch through.

it's late and i havent thought about its effectiveness against other lists. probably corran/fel/pwt would eat it alive.

any thoughts on a good anti-tlt list that would be serviceable against other lists as well?

really, if it can take thrusters it can counter TLTs.

by contrast, Laetin's just so **** luck prone that it's not worth it. I'd almost guarantee a blacksun enforcer would last longer for less. Never trust green dice.

Not necessarily trusting green dice. Just for the first attack- after that, laetin is stacking evade tokens. In theory, at least.

Here is my idea at the moment. The most obvious way to deal with TLT is Autothrusters. So this list has that. But it also has something to deal with the increased number of ships running Autothursters.

There are still three points left to play with here. But I'd have to fly this to see how it goes. I think it is pretty clear that the IG should counter the TLT threat pretty well. Moralo gives you 180 degrees of HLC, combined with Gunner and Bossk to push hits through on even the toughest of targets (i.e. Soontir Fel). This list certainly has it's weaknesses. But I'd like to try it out against both a TLT list and a list meant to counter TLT. I think it could fair well against both.

Tycho and 3 Greens Squads. Give them all PTL, Autothrusters, Refit, and Wired. It's not a ton of damage out put but if you can stay out of arc, keep all the TLTs from firing at one ship, and not get blocked and losing actions, you may very well take out a TLT swarm without losing any of your own ships.

4 Royal Guard Interceptors with PTL Can Bring one down a turn.

The 4 Y-Wings with TLT is less Scary than Having HWK-290's with TLT's and Feedback Arrays.
