I'm actually super happy they're bringing back the titanium series. It's also neat that the T-65 is packaged there.

Just looks like cash in crap to me. There's no scale. The ship is titanium and those guns are bent like that? Paint job on that Falcon is garbage. This is supposed to be Black Series?

I really wonder how/if they're going to do this ... my understanding is that it is unique...

Do they do it as a "title" card for a standard t-70 as there is only one ship?

Is it significantly better/different to a standard t-70 that a title card wouldn't cover the differences and therefore a different ship/card may be needed?

These are the things I think about as I lie awake at 2 am...

I think Poe flies a blue X wing earlier on, and somehow ends up being part of black squadron (or ends up leading it...which is just a rumor floating around). And that squad has these X wings. If anything they might release it with a second version of Poe and black squadron pilots. I'm not really sure how they would do this, but I know it would be a bit of a let down if they didn't, and a lost opportunity for them to make some money. Because people are already going to want more than 1 of the new X wings.

Further proof that FFG makes the best Star Wars toys around. Oh, and turns out you can play some kinda game with them or something when you aren't wooshing around the house, embarrassing your girlfriend and traumatizing the cat...

Well, that's what happens when you gotta' mass produce but the economy's shot.

New Star Wars figures disappoint me constantly. Episode III's era of figures was just, the absolute best.

After being spoiled by FFG's level of quality and detail everything else is just crap or lackluster by comparison.

Well these don't look very good, but they great compared to the versions we had in the 70s & 80s. Remember the white star destroyer that was the same size as the millennium falcon, that always bugged me.

I doubt we will see it in this release. Abrams gave an interview where he said there was a specific reason the x wing was black, but wouldn't say what it was. No spoiler.

Sounds like he wouldn't want FFG giving any kind of spoiler to that, via pilot stats, abilities etc.

I doubt we'll see it before the movie if Adams wants to keep it that way.

They might hold off on it indeed, but they are already releasing toys of that ship and legos way early too. So i'm kinda on the fence. A lot of the descriptions in the upcoming TFA x wing starter are rather vague as well. All they really need to do is say its Poe's special X wing. His X wing is likely not much different from the others, aside from a fancy repaint it looks about identical. But regardless, it would suck if we had a new starter, and months on end of zero new ships to add to the new factions.

They really aren't new factions. New Order will immediately be playable with Imperials and Resistance will immediately be playable with Rebels.

I am however interested in knowing how long it's going to be until we see the TIE/FO and T70 X-Wing expansions.

I knew that, but if you want to play more fluffy games it would be awkward seeing old ships next to the new ones. There's nothing indicating the resistance or FO will be using the older ships in the new movie. And according to JJ himself, the FO might not actually be the empire. Moreso a group that admires what the empire was and wants to see its work fulfilled. I'm also counting on the Sith order not being present in the new film, with the death of Vader and the emperor the order kind of died out. And any dark side users to rise up later would likely be dark side force users grasping for power. I'm making a lot of assumptions though!

Mixing eras doesn't bother me personally but I used to play the WotC SWM game where you could have a squad that included both Old Republic and New Republic characters separated by thousands of years caconically.
