I'm still convinced there will be an eventual Smugglers and Spies faction.

Unless the new movie's bring something more viable, there probably won't be a 4th faction. I could see Scum maybe getting a sub faction or two, but even that seems unlikely seeing as the Scum faction is already designed to incorporate the most likely candidates for sub factions; Blacksun, Hutts, pirates, and the hunters guilds.

Its not a bad idea but I think it would be easier having special rules that allow SV to be used byt he other factions. I think Smugglers would be a good 4th faction. They could use nothing but YT and VT ships. Their abilities would focus more object style gameplay instead of the most used / played which is kill kill kill everyone not on your side.

The Fat Turrets Only faction.

Which bizarrely can use Imperial patrol craft.

No joke I sometimes mentally divide the game into four factions with "turrets" being the fourth faction.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Clone Wars-era Trade Federation as a separate faction. Clone Wars-era Republic ships could be released with data for two or three of the other factions, while the droids stand on their own. Since Republic ships were folded into the new Empire, then gradually phased out (and presumably sold or scrapped) as new designs - like the TIE - became available. You could make a strong case for something like the V-Wing, ARC-170, or V-19 being flown in any of the current three factions.

Not likely to happen, but I think it would be cool.

Just a guess but I think as the sub-factions grow they would be set up to their own faction with say an alliance limit. Such as a Resistance can take a limited number of Rebel/Republic ships if they want to.

I hope not. There are plenty of potential sources of conflict already extant in the galaxy without importing new ones.

This is how every game will end for that faction.

The rules will be simple, the underdog ewoks/gungan with no access to space technology will play on another table and they would have to (somehow) destroy every ship on a different table before the end of the 6th turn or they lose.

AND I WOULD PLAY THAT GAME A MILLION TIMES IF I CAN JUST PUT JAR JAR BINKS ON THAT PLANET!!!!!

Comprised of three races hated galaxy wide, the Outcasts is composed of Gungans, Ewoks and Jawas.

Maybe throw Vong in there also because of how badly written those books were.....
