Booste(d Signal ?) : "You... friendly... close-long... of close..." - Could it be that Squadrons can attack at long range ?
Pretty sure that's being able to activate squadrons at long range instead of close-medium. Makes sense with Booste...

I'm too tired to speculate properly
Good catch !
Would be nice if the price is right
Oh I really hope its not "boosted signal" and allows for long distance activation. Not from a game mechanic standpoint, it should be useful if costed right. But its a line TOO far for flavor. Signal strength should not fall off that quickly for the distances we are talking (or see in the movies). We, a non space fairing culture, has the capacity to send quite strong signals from here to the moon.
Its one of my pet peeves from Egosofts X3 Terran Conflict. I'm flying around in an advanced space warship and lack the capacity to video conference with some 25.1 km away from me. We could send TV signals farther back in the 1940s.
So please, they better have serious fluff reasons why its boosted signal and why its long and not full board. I took the medium range aspect to be that squadrons needed to be close enough to the capital ship for coordinated actions to be at all meaningful. But I guess even there its a little dubious.

Well Boosted Signal could be due to jamming and such done during combat so I'd it is "Boosted Signal" that is what it would mean.

here's your fluff reason
gameplay >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> fluff ![]()
create game mechanic, then think of name
There is a card called "Wing ......" - I think it will be a bomber flight controllers. Something like "all squadrons you activate gain INTEL".
More questions - ISD I - do we think it will have the same profile as the here we come article? Ie 3 red/2 blue/3 black? If so, will the points be less than the ISD II (in line with the Victory points break? Which would you take if this was the case?
Will the ISD I have the evade token?
ISD 1 will cost less than the 2, mainly because black dice<red/blue dice point wise, and the +1 Squadron doesn't cost that much. If you look at the Nebulons. It's a 6 point difference for +1 antisquadron and +1 Squadron rating. I'm calling 105 pts for ISD-1's.
As far as the evade token, it can really only be from one of the upgrade card effects, if it isn't some kind of error.
From this photo: https://instagram.com/p/1u-PKchkHH/we can see that the ISD-1 has 4 tokens, none of which are evade. They're all too rounded, which fits the Brace, Contain, and 2x Redirects. Can only be from one of the upgrade cards then.
Maybe thats what Tactical.... does? Its the only card that comes 2 to a pack, so maybe its so you can put them on other ships, and get an evade token for a round or so. Kinda like Veteran Captain.
I'm not sure the ISD would even qualify to get an Evade Token...
I mean, it's a mile long behemoth !
When you got shields like those, "evading" becomes more like "enduring mosquito bites" ![]()
I think people will find ECM is a better upgrade than advance projectors. With two redirects, getting damage shifted around shields is never a problem for VSD. Losing the brace is however, a major contributor to poor VSD outcomes.

2 redirects just means that you can choose your damage more carefullyI think people will find ECM is a better upgrade than advance projectors. With two redirects, getting damage shifted around shields is never a problem for VSD. Losing the brace is however, a major contributor to poor VSD outcomes.
Sorry?
I was trying to say that having two redirects means you are usually quite unlikely to lose a ship with shields still up. The ISD/VSD configuration assists with this because our primary arc is the front, so redirecting to either side is easy. The only real benefit of advanced projectors in this case is you can redirect to the rear if you are only engaged from the front, which I don't think will happen super often, and there is only two shields back there anyway. Whereas ECM lets you maintain your brace which means all those redirected shields will last a lot longer.
