Now that the Raider is out and wave 7 is just around the corner, I'm curious how you will be selecting which ships you will buy, how many, and what you will pass on....

As for me, my current plans are to buy 2 Ks,2 Punishers, 3 Khirax, and 1 of both the Hounds Tooth and Raider. I play very often and already have a big collection and my plastic crack addiction is far from satiated but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Too much? Not enough?

One of everything, because I'm really not interested in any of it but I'm too hooked to not buy them.

I got my Raider and are waiting for 1 Hounds Tooth, 1 Punisher and probably 1 K-wing. I almost never play Rebels, but SLAM and Connor net seem to fun to miss out on. I know the KIraxaaxaxaxazxxxxxchhh is probably super cool and good, but it just seems a bit meh to me. Like the design belongs in some 90ies computer game

If you can afford it, that sounds about right to me. If you wanted to cut back, I'd subtract one of each of the small ships.

4 kirks. 3 special ks, 3 punishers and a tooth.

Bought Raider from FLGS already. Have 2 K-wings from Gen-Con. Preordered 2 Punishers and 2 Khiraxz from FLGS. Will puck up 2 more Khiraxz eventually and a Hound's Tooth someday.

1 Hounds Tooth, 1-2 Kirhaxz. Wait until Punisher and K-Wing have a MM Daily Deal and buy 1-2 of each.

Unless I decide I have to have TLT, then I may have to buy the K-Wing, dangit.

2 K's, 2 Punisher's, a tooth, and 5 Kzlshgdjlhbad, because I always get carried away with something in every wave. (Which is why I now have 9 Z-95's, and 14 Tie Fighters.)

One Punisher and one K-Wing to start. Then hold out for new core set. Add either another K-Wing or the Scum Kship after that, unless the expansions for Episode 7 look amazing. Probably leave the Hound's Tooth as a Christmas gift suggestion.

What are these threads about? They always crop up and I don't get them are people wanting to reassurance they aren't spending too much money?

I don't care for this waves rebel or imperial ships much really. Might think about getting more Kirahhzxix if I like it.

1 of each unless I feel the urge to field multiples in a squad. Then I will act accordingly. I don't want to buy 3 of something that I just can't stand flying.

Well, i suppose it comes from a time where finding x-wing stuff in stock was difficult, so we all just buy in bulk now to avoid the issue.

I bought a K-Wing and TIE Punisher at GenCon. I'll get a Raider eventually, and that's probably it from this wave. I almost never play S&V.

I pre-ordered the Raider with Xmas cash back in late January. Glad I did as I would've blown that cash on something I don't care as much about long ago.

I've got $50 to spend on things. I can try to order with some friends online and I can afford:

1 K-wing

1 Tie Punisher

2 Kihraxz

If I buy from my local store, I pay full price, but can cash in frequent shopper card for $15 credit. That gives me $65, but I can't quite get the above that way. Ugh, I like to support my local store, but I just don't have the cash.

My birthday is coming up in October and I figure that money will go towards new Ep 7 stuff. Xmas will give me cash for Wave 8.

I think the Kihraxz will be a good ship to have for Scum. They need a low 20-ish pt ship that has good firepower that can be a good workhorse for their lists. Something with 3 attack is a good thing without breaking the bank. The new fighter is perfect for that.

While the Hound's Tooth is interesting, I really have no interest in flying it. I still haven't flown my dual bro bots yet.

I have zero interest in the K-wing or Punisher, but there are cards I want in them. If I had to go with just 2 ships, I'd go with them. Once again, just for the cards. Not sure if I'll ever fly either.

Might buy more Kirhaxz fighters or another Hounds Tooth in the future but only if I decide I just have to play a particular list. Fairly certain that two K-Wings and TIE Punishers will be all I'll ever want and need.

I pre ordered a Raider, 2 Kihraxz, and a hounds tooth from MM. Right after Gencon I came in to a Punisher and a Houndstooth. At this point I will likely pick up another Kihraxz for sure. I'm one of those that thinks the K wing looks just terrible. I don't play rebels anyway so I have no need for it. I will just try and nab a copy or two of TLT on the web somewhere and call it good

I don't see running more than 1 punisher in a list. I could see 2 K-Wings (even if only for more than two TLTs) and as many Kxz fighters are you feel like you'd use in a list.

I'll admit, though that I have one of each and I with all the ships that have been announced, I don't know if I'll be running out to buy more until I'm sure I have a list I really like that requires me to own more than one.

I'm very excited about the news and new ships. However, with so many ships out recently and on the horizon, my normal policy of having two of each small ship isn't going to be followed this wave -- not because of cost but because there's just too many ships to play around with!

Yes, but the Mk II engines and other upgrades. I don't want to run any of the K-wing or Punisher, but I'd really like to have 4 Extra Munitions and all the new ordnance, bombs, TLT's, etc. When you look at the price of singles, it's just about as cheap to buy more of the ship that I'll never fly.

Since I always have epic play in mind I figure my however many ships of that type I can fit into 100 points rule is generally good to go with.

If epic grows and expands, I might do as I am considering with my Y-wing thread and maxing out certain ships.

I'm not above kitting 3 K wings out for anti-capship operations or flank bombers for an epic game, and lord knows what I might want to try for 1000 point superepic games.

I'm close the the OP. One Tooth, 2 Interdictors, 2 K-Wings, 2 kirks. The Interdictors and K-Wings I'll probably use and fly, the others mostly for the cards and cool looking ships.

Upgrade cards could lead people to buy more ships for sure if they don't have the ability to borrow from a friend, and I may end up getting more, but I do want to make sure it's a list I want to play a lot. I mean, I have a list that will require four extra munitions, too, but I'm going to test it out to see if I feel like it's a good list that I'd run multiple times. If it's something I'm just trying out, I'll borrow or proxy.

Yes, I'm leaning more away from official tournaments and more towards fun games. That means I'll be less inclined to buy crap I don't want (both K-wing and Punisher).

Hey, you don't have to be rich to play this game. It just means your options are more limited.
