UK Release

By mcneils5, in Rogue Trader

Ok, I just wondered if anyon knows of anywhere selling RT in the UK yet?

No where yet. Us dirty Europeans get to wait until next week/whenever it turns up...

I have just spoken to the guys at Games Lore and they are expecting it next Tuesday and pre-orders sent out the same day; hopefully.

Of course the postal strikes might wreck any hope of getting it by next weekend!

Well that backs up what the guys in Travelling man in Leeds told me - spoke to them on Tuesday and they said to give them a ring in a weeks time as they're expecting it in but not to hold my breath due to the delays.

I called Leisure Games in London this afternoon and was told that they were expecting it next week, probably. Likewise Inner Sanctum in Cambridge.

I just checked the website of Esdevium Games who are one of the bigger distributers in the UK and Rogue Trader is on their list of new releases for next week.

So it looks like I'm cycling down to my FLGS next week...

Ive just got a message from amazon saying possibily october 2nd,,,,, arghhhhh.

Leisure Games has just confirmed their shipment is coming in on Tuesday, and being shipped out for orders on the same day, so any of us who have ordered should have them for Wednesday.

Good grief! What is going on over there? It seems like you guys are having a strike every other week from some service group or another! Look on the bright side, though. At least you haven't had a repeat of that garbage collector's strike from the 70's. I can't even imagine what old London town must have smelled like back then...

Um

Yeah my GF lives in Leeds and she's now coming to the end of week 4 with no bin collection - not good really

Next week in Inner Sanctum....hmmmm, I sense a lunchtime trip down Hills Road coming on.

Amazon.co.uk informs that today is the day, and the should start shipping today. Cant' wait, as I finished running Dark Frontier last night.

Anyone got theirs via UK Amazon? I've just got a message from Amazon...

Estimated arrival date: October 26 2009 - November 02 2009

Let me know when you get it. I'll open a can of whoop ass on them... I'll let you know when I get mine...

Anyone else got deliveries or estimated deliveries from Amazon UK?

I pre-ordered from amazon.co.uk on 10th of April (!!!), and despatch/delivery are: Delivery estimate: 26 Oct 2009 - 2 Nov 2009 Dispatch estimate: 21 Oct 2009 - 26 Oct 2009. That's with standard delivery mind you, not 1st class. Dunno how much difference it'll make in the coming weeks though!

If they keep to that I'll hold out, but for about a tenner more than I'm going to pay I could get it sent from Leisure Games if they do indeed get them in tomorrow...

Amazon have changed my dates (3rd-4th time!)

Dispatch 15th Oct, Deliver 21st Oct (super saver delivery).

Exact dates! I'm tempted to think there might be light at the end of the tunnel!

Aha, same here! Seems like all the sellers are getting it this week then.

Eclectic Games in Reading is due to receive their copies tomorrow. I'll be picking mine up straight after work...

Well Travelling Man in Leeds have just got the consignment of Rogue Traders in (when I say just I mean like 10 minutes ago!!!) so I can now secure my CE within it's protective void shielding!!!!

Good news all round for us UK based peeps I'm sure you'll agree!

I spoke to them yesterday (Travelling Man Leeds) and they said they'd receive it today. Of course that meant there'd be no way I could get there until next Monday at the earliest and maybee not then (**** you work...).

Leisure Games have it in stock this week.

Yeah they really 'screw us over' don't they...

Wanting job security and decent working conditions...the scumbags.

The posties do a bloody thankless job - would YOU get up at 4am 6 days a week, walk the streets in all weathers, brave areas the police won't go into, for £17,000 pa?

Then when the government systematically opens up their public service duty to private firms (who rake off the high value parcel market), takes their working practices, pensions and job security and shreds them...then when the posties are left with no alternative but to strike (i mean come on, who really wants to put their family in poverty?), they get hammered by the media and by the public for 'screwing us over' because our letters are delayed while they fight for their futures.

Tell you what, try getting a letter from Land's End to John O'Groats next day for 37p without the post office...
