There are 3 missing SKU's.

By TasteTheRainbow, in X-Wing

It's got to be the two fighters from the new core set, I'd stake my reputation on it.

I've heard this talked about so much, where might one actually find info on these SKUs?

Anyone who thinks it's not the T-70 and TIE/FO is being ridiculous.

As for when they're coming out, I say same day as the new core. The only reason they haven't been spoiled already is because the core set was spoiled from the warehouse of a big chain store, and the big chain stores don't usually carry the expansion packs.

The expansions will hit the hobby retailers the same day.

They won't hit the hobby retailers the same day unless FFG lifts the gag on news.

Hobby stores recieve product differently than big box stores do, and can't order ANYTHING until the product is even announced.

Very likely the new xwing and tie expansion

Seems possible. You think a 9/4 release date through LGS is possible?

I think the production is skewed heavily towards the Core Set. At common retailers, you will find the new Core. Aren't the spoilers coming from Target or something? So my thinking is that these are already on their way or have arrived, at least in the US. But not to LGS.

I will hazard to guess that the blister packs will arrive at the same time as the Core does *at the LGS*. Meaning, a headstart has been given to common retailers, and the Cores have been bundled up with other TFA products from Hasbro, LEGO etc. Does this make sense to anybody else?

LGS owner in my area has stated that any product he currently does not have available for pre-order would not be available for up to a month or more after September 4th.

As to the two unknown SKUs, we have precedent of how the box set (and only the box set) has been sold at major retailers previously. As such, I would expect them to only be available at LGS, arriving at the same time that the third SKU does become available there, and most likely be individual versions of the big box's contents.

One of the SKUs has been "speculated" enough, IYKWIM, so...

What I WANT for the other SKUs is 2 boxes of multiple ships from the new movie, with a bunch of cards and stuff: One bad guys (reg TIE and turret TIE) and one good guys (reg T-70 and black T-70).

What I EXPECT is something similar to Wave1. Each blister coming with a few more cards. (Then eventualy more stuff like the Aces or Most-Wanted boxes down the line)

The question is if there are enough named pilots for a T70 and a Tie pack. There was a leak last weekend, where there were shown extremely bland pilots names in the core (with a caveat for being fake). Leading to a guess that the mouse does not allow names from the characters in the film used before the film is shown in december. Releasing 2 packs with even more random-greek-letter/random-colour-sqd-pilot/ace might actually cost them costumers -as people new to the game might see the game boring as therejyst is not enough flavour!

Against the bad guys shuttle speaking are the ridiculous long wings, difficult to realise and being able to use in game-play. Those **** wings will knock over tons of small fighters - k.o. in turn 2. No need for alpha strike :)

If FFG is greedy they could release a Falcon with just another rectangular dish and ep7 versions of known rebel characters. A nice thing would be a pack with ectra cards to transport old fighters into a game taking place 30years later, a bit like the Scum&Villainy transforming existing ships.

That makes me think that the other two SKUs won't be released until after Wave 8. There's no rule that FFG have to release their SKUs in order. Certainly I could understand that desire, but there's no reason that those products might be upcoming Blister packs or Aces packs that will be released AFTER Episode 7, so then we get the named pilots for the Resistance and Order.

This is very unlikely. I spoke to my LGS owner on Saturday, and while he knew about "Force Friday," he had been told it's just a toy announcement day, not a toy sales day. He hadn't received any information from FFG about ordering the new stuff.

That means he won't be receiving Core Set 2 on Force Friday either.

I'm saying, when Core Set 2 arrives at hobby retailers, so will the 2 expansion packs.

Has anyone considered that the sku's might not be perfectly sequential? For example, the three missing ones we know of now are most likely the core set, the T-70 and the TIE/fo, but there could easily be a Falcon and another First Order ship after the Wave 8 sku's.

Based on the fact that FFG seems to know as much (or as little) as we do about the new films (judging from the named pilots generic names outside of Poe), I'm guessing they will be single expansions for what we have already seen. Think they will wait until they know more to jump into the other ships.

It would be nice if they simply had an upgrade box for those of us who already have a core set with the new ships and a damage deck. I suppose because it makes sense, it won't happen. I am still curious about hat the retailers are going to do with all of their un-sold-now-old core sets.

They do, its called the new core set. :P

The best we can hope for is the week after 9-4. Orders get taken that weekend and shipping starts that Monday. Realistically though probably the second full week in September.

You're probably already going to get 3 small ships for less than the cost of 3 small ship expansions.

Leaving out 3 sheets of cardboard and shrinking the box isn't going to lower the price at all.

The missing SKU's are going to be;

T70 expansion,

Tie/FO expansion

Something Scummy and unspoiled.

To be released after the movie.

Technically, there are only 2 missing SKUs now. the first numerical missing SKU has been....leaked. (confirmed via those sheets of cardboard you mentioned)

Star destroyer and Falcon combo kit!! Falcon will have new rectangular dish.. other skew is Rogue Squadron pack.. with "piggy" X-wing...

Even if he did know he can't tell you. Force Friday is release day for the toys. Not announcement day. Stores are already preparing shelves locally.

I'd go for the T-70 and TIE/FO (if you ask me, the Special forces TIE will be a Titel which allows to take a turret upgrade) and the new damage deck.

The Special Forces Tie is a pretty heavily modified Tie. I would really doubt it will simply be a 'Title' for the FO Tie.
