Glitter & A Few Concussions

I'm set, I'm going to be grinding out many games with the same core build of 3 black sun soldiers with glitterstim and concussion missiles. How can I fly them for the best results?

I think glitterstim makes the alpha strike build a reality. Focused greens will save at least two Z wings from any PS above 3. Even the feared TLT behemoths will want nothing to do with 4 glitterstim missiles(4th and or 5th ship will be doing something similar). Shucks next round I'm stressed.

Total dice failure is the mind killer.

How about:

[42] Latts, Conc. Missiles, WepEng, Glit

1pt for init. Latts can hold 2 locks, so you can drop target's AGI on whoever you want to focus, and that ability survives past the concs to make the ATK2 Zs more effective.

That's neat, because Latts contributes to the quality of fire the round after the alpha strike.

I have to say, I find this freakin' brilliant. And against the dreaded Y-Wing with TLT swarm? You're dropping one to zero agility and hitting it with at least 8 red dice with glitterstim/conc missile modifiers. There's a reasonable chance a Y is dead before it gets to shoot. Should have enough shots out to soften up a second Y the same turn with a little luck, leaving it vulnerable to going *pop* before it gets a second round of shooting in.

All in ideal situations, of course. Still, TLT spam hits the fan if you can start taking ships off the board before they can.

Yeah, TLTs are mostly what I was thinking of. Initial spike is key unless they can superturtle.

4xTLT is capped at 8 damage, absolute max. If one Y goes down before shooting, that drops to 6, at which point with Glitterstim there's a solid chance they can't put 4h into a Z.

Even if they focus Latts, that's still only her shields out, and the next turn she can grab TLs again, and the Zs should be able to close into the bubble, which changes potential damage cap to 9, but with different odds.

Zs/Latts are capped at 16 (barring crits) damage for the alpha turn, then 13 following, but until Latts is out TLTs have basically no mitigation so Ys should get burnt fast. If it's HWK TLTs, the focus target is 1AGI/5HP, which the list could likely pop 2 per turn.

This makes me want to try N'dru w/ LW, Clusters, and Glitterstim. 4 dice x2 with blank rerolls and all <eyes> change to <booms> ... can't complain about that...

The alpha strike is out there now, only games will tell if it can affect the meta.

You're dropping one to zero agility and hitting it with at least 8 red dice with glitterstim/conc missile modifiers.

The agility is only dropped for a single attack.

Maybe just drop two Cartel Marauders in there to mop up whats left. Gives you 3 points either for initiative or to do something else with.
