How does a mechanics check work to heal Hal like a medicine check? I think I have the highest mechanics skill and it fits his personality to step in and try and fix him up after an encounter like this.
Heirs to the Legacy [Force and Destiny] OOC
Actually, Gael has two Proficiency dice in Mechanics, so you could say that he is at a somewhat equal skill level as Tahiri. Still waiting for the okay to take Gael's first IC action, which is talking over the comlink, maybe commenting on Lavin's Dr. Frankenstein speech.
Wow, extra XP when I haven't even started using Gael! Awesome! I'm not being sarcastic. Hey, so since you said that Gael can call over the com link, should I do that to officially introduce Gael? Or does somebody else want to call him first?
Your call. I'd just do it! Something like, "hey guys the ship is fixed now" or something slightly more in-character.

Same difficulty as a Medicine check to heal a person, so you might want to slap some more repair repair on him first. He's at 13/15 wounds, so two more repair patches would get him under halfway and make the Mechanics check Easy. There's also the critical injury to worry about.
How about Saber squad?
Alright I'll be making a post on the IC. Saber squad sounds a little cheesy, unless you were joking. How about the Eyes of the Resistance. I think that's too long, am I right?
Eyes of the Resistance is a bit long yeah, gotta be something that is quick and easy to say as well as badass. I put Saber in there basically as a placeholder until we come up with something better.
We could always just pick a color, its a time honored rebel tradition.
Edited by BigSpoonFor the record, Saber actually sounds pretty cool without the squad at the end. I'm going to edit my post to take out Gael's response about the mentioning of Saber. Oh! I know! Saber Force! That's a really cool sounding name!
Reminded me of Havoc Squad. Ah, those days...
Saber is good. Group, Team, Squad, whatever. I already have a "Saber Squadron" in another PbP :-D So it rings some familiar bells with me.
We don't have a ship name yet, do we?
In fact, I don't think we even settled on a make for the ship. Last I heard, we were thinking of a HWK-290 type of craft, which is fine (since the HWK-290 would be well over 300 years old, perhaps a re-skinning is in order; we can call it the "HWK-2000" or something like that).
And if we're thinking of ship names, and you're calling yourselves "Sabers," it might make sense to name the ship something sword-related (taking a page out of the Rebels serial).
I present the HWK-2000 commandeered by the Sabers, the Rapier! Hey, since Dev'rios was captured, we really don't have a pilot do we? Are we going to hire an Anselmi pilot or something, because I know that most of us don't have any skill in piloting.
Edited by maverikidWho has the most wounds? I can make a heal forcepower check and see if I can heal someone. Please some light side!
I mean, I have a 4 agility and can use the force to enhance my roll.
I guess that would be the best solution, BigSpoon.
I believe Advantages heal strain, but I'm not the GM so...
They do. H4L had no strain to my reckoning, but you could use the Advantage to grant a Boost die to H4L's next skill check.

Kell took quite a beating.
It sounds like going to check on the Anselmi is the most favored option. Those of you who haven't yet made a skill check can do so before the scene progresses. I'll move things forward, if you're all good to go. If you have nothing to add, you can "Like" this post, or reply as such here below!
If you want to add something (like a Medicine/Heal check, or making use of a talent, etc) you may do so. Everyone can perform a single action for "free" before the scene progresses.
Additionally, remember that Gael is still back at the ship. It's quite a ways back, so it might make sense for him to try and meet you somewhere with the ship instead of trying to walk to where the rest of you are, which would delay the meeting up with the Anselmi.

I will go with the boost die for Hal. Make good use of it!
Before Gael does anything, I want to know if he must make a skill check to pilot the ship to the rendezvous point. The reason I ask this is because Gael's piloting is crap.

No skill check required, unless you're doing something fancy

I sass the rest of the group some more?
The more sass, the better the story. That is my firm(ish) belief.
I'll spend the 10 XP on:
-A Range Upgrade for the Move power for 5xp
-A Range Upgrade for the Battle Meditation power for 5xp
Ready when you are!

Disappointed you need a boost die for that...
Would a Simple (-) Medicine check heal wounds? I thought that was possible once a day?
Would a Simple (-) Medicine check heal wounds? I thought that was possible once a day?
It's once per encounter, and the difficulty ranges from Easy to Hard, depending on the number of wounds the target is suffering from. Wounds equaling half or less than half of the wound threshold makes for an Easy check, more than half makes for an Average check, and wounds in excess of the threshold make for a Hard check.
Given the relative limits placed on first aid, it is advisable to first use a stimpack or two first, so as to lower your difficulty.
