Oh, yes, sorry; got messed up with the droids.
Heirs to the Legacy [Force and Destiny] OOC
Attacking Stormtroopers: 2eP+1eA+2eS+1eB+2eD 0 successes, 2 threat (+1 Advantage: Superior) = 1 ThreatMarsten rolled to his feet along side Kell and out of reach from the Droid. Watching Kell jump forward to engage the Droid, Marten turned his sights towards the Stormtroopers on the ground. He raised his blaster in hand towards their direction and let off a couple of shots. However, the throttling delivered upon him from the Droid must have shaken a few screws loose; his aim was off."****, can't seem to do anything right today." He thought to himself.Status: -0 Wounds (8/12), -2 Strain (8/12), -1 Strain Threshold (12/13)-2 Strain for AimAdded Wounds from previous hitI added a Defense for Stormtroopers and attacked according to Shortt Range. Hope that's right. Even if the Defense is removed, it's a wash, so still nothing spectacular. Dice hate me.
Please reroll the attack! It's a little messy, so I'm have you do this:
You suffer two strain to move and then aim, because you intended to attack at short range. The difficulty is Easy, not Average.
Remove 1 setback die. The stormtroopers on the ground do not have any ranged defense (although the ones on the roof do), but I believe your pistol does have one setback die, yes?
(Also, no Adversary talent for these guys, Jereru, so no need to upgrade)
Pool should be 2eP+1eA+1eB+1eD+1eS
+1 Difficulty for Second Gun....
Cool. Make the alterations and roll it up!
Um, hello there. So, can someone catch me up on where everybody is in the battle? Especially where Dev'rios is, as I am supposed to be taking over for TCArknight until the end of the encounter, yes?
My roll is sound. As I said, even if I did roll an extra Setback, both rolled Threat. Drop one Threat and I now have 0 Successes and 0 Advantage. My roll failed. Next player.
Oooookay.. was trying to be quick, but decided to be thorough. I had to spend some time reviewing.
Here's what I'm seeing Marsten do on this turn:
- Disengaging with the Dark Knight
- Moving to close the distance between yourself and the stormtroopers, who started at medium range from you
- Aiming
You can do two of these things, but not all three (and not moving without first disengaging). The difficulty for attacking while engaged with an enemy is +1, but disengaging and moving takes it from three difficulty dice down to one.
Further, I saw nothing in your post to indicate you were making a two-weapon check. So that just led to more confusion at the outset, which compounded in my later attempt to hurry things along. (it's not your fault; it's mine for not properly vetting your turn)
Please re-do the action, AZ. Make your decision about what you're doing in regards to maneuvers, and go ahead and make it happen. But I'm going to require you to reroll your dice. As I think I may have said before, I dislike messy dice pools. Anything aside from adding a die generally makes me cringe, and so I would appreciate your acquiescence.

To help things move along quicker, if I make a ruling in a turn-based environment, please just go with it and we can discuss it OOC after the encounter instead of arguing about it mid-encounter.
Thanks for your help, everyone. After this scene, let's also discuss divvying up some rolls for bookkeeping. Does anyone else use Google Docs?
Edited by awayputurwpnIf you mean Drive and the like, I do.
3 more PC slots? Who is jumping in?
Ok, if anyone is at short distance, I can boost him. Lemme know.

We are waiting on Marsten right now
Weekends are usually pretty slow. We'll wait for Marsten until tomorrow, since his is a rather pivotal turn.

And with it being a holiday weekend as well. I went as The Dude from Big Lebowski

Nice! I ended up going as a parent with two children...

I went as a parent with three children so our costumes were very similar.

First off, I noted that I made the attack at Short Range in the bottom. Did not know I was at Medium. With that knowledge, I'll go with the idea that I did not move towards them, stayed at Medium Range, and did not fire the second Blaster. So that makes the Difficulty 2 for Medium range.
Plain and simple, my attacked missed.
Hello again! This is a reposting of a post that somehow did not make it onto the forum.
Can someone tell me where everything is in relation to Dev'rios, as I am supposed to be taking over TCArknight's place for now, yes?
One more thing: I would like to ask either awayputurwpn or ApocalypseZero let Marsten's turn go. If either of you continue to push your points, then this argument will last forever, and this encounter will never end. For the record, I see both of your points, but it is obvious to me that this argument will not end well, so might as well end it sooner than later, right? However, that is just my opinion on the situation so far, so please don't get angry with me if I am not understanding the situation clearly.
There's an argument? I just made a post and found out my roll didn't match my post. So I fixed it. Was told it was wrong again. I was keeping the roll, just trying to get the actions to fit right. I'm doing this so we can keep moving. My action is done and the result is nothing. This is a non-issue and we should continue to move on.
To keep confusion clear from now one, I'll confirm the dice pool for all actions here in the OOC from now on.
As for Dav'rois information, check the first few pages of this OOC Thread. I'm sure TCArknight posted a link somewhere.....
Edited by ApocalypseZeroIn reply to AZ:
Perhaps I was mistaken when I had thought there was an argument about Marsten's turn. So, did you redo the action already? Other posts both on the IC and the OOC are stating that everyone is waiting for Marsten's turn to resolve, so… yeah. But I don't know. I'm still kind of new to this whole "campaign-on-a-forum" thing.

Anyway, I'm still a little confused on what we are going to do with Dev'rios after this encounter. Are we going to scrap the character or wait for TCArknight?
Nice question. To be honest, I lost track of what's in the ground and what's on the roof. But, if Marsten's turn is done and no one disagrees, I'll boost Dev'rios as I have been doing the past 2 or 3 turns, so you can pawn some droids. Also, I think last time I played Dev'rios's turn I wrote his current Strain/Wounds.

Next PC please. We'll deal with the issue later.

All the stormtroopers—four on the roof of the tavern, four on the ground—are at medium range from the Dark Knight and Kell, (who are engaged with each other), Marsten, Dev'rios, and Lavin (all of whom are at short range of each other). The dark knight of the roof is at short range from all the PCs except for Tahiri, who is himself engaged with one of the stormtroopers on the ground.
Of the minion groups of stormtroopers, there are three on the roof engaged with each other and three on the ground engaged with each other. The fourth man (in both minion groups) is not engaged with his comrades.
Thank you guys for keeping track of Dev'rios. His Wounds are 10/12 and Strain is 10/15. He's also suffered a single Easy critical injury (no lingering effect) and is at -1 Willpower for the encounter.
Anyway, I'm still a little confused on what we are going to do with Dev'rios after this encounter. Are we going to scrap the character or wait for TCArknight?
Really depends on what happens to Dev'rios in the encounter
We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I won't just kill him outright, if that's what you mean, unless there's a good reason for it in the narrative.
Thx away, posting my turn.
Edit: posted.
Edited by JereruI will go next after that and attack the troopers on the ground. Hopefully I can get a double attack off again damaging the one I'm engaged and moving to hit the other at short range engaging the other troopers.
