Heirs to the Legacy [Force and Destiny] OOC

By awayputurwpn, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Picking up Blaster (-2 Strain for Second Maneuver)

Guns Blazing (-2 Strain)

1 Advantage to activate Second Blaster (+2 Advantages from activation) (4-1+2=5)

2 Advantage to activate a Critical Hit with Primary Weapon (4-1+2-2=3)

2 Advantage to activate a Critical Hit with Secondary Weapon (4-1+2-2-2=1)

1 Advantage to Heal Strain (4-1+2-2-2-1=0)

9 Damage, Pierce 1, Crit 1:=44, Crit 2=89 (+10 Lethal Blows added)

9 Damage from one blaster... and 9 from the other, I take...

Hope nobody minds I used a Destiny Point to upgrade my check to try and finish off Kell's droid, with mixed results, I hit, but crit wasn't high enough for a kill.

Destiny Points are meant to be used.

As for my Blaster, I just noted the damage. I would hope that both damages would have been taken into account.

Hey Away, if you want to see WFRP dice in motion, I've put a brief series of action up in the wfrp House rules thread, might give you an idea of how they work.

?! They work like Star Wars, with Stain and Pauses added as symbols. :D

And stances and expertise dice. And stress and fatigue rather than just strain.

And tracking tokens on actions.

And a million and one teeny tiny little cards.

Why do I want to play this game so much again?

Nice!

Hey guys, I'm gonna be out for the next 24 hours, gotta deal with some stuff at home :)

Thanks, see ya soon

Bet you he murdered the wife...

WFRP stands for... Warhammer Fantasy Role Play? (Wild guess)

Correct-o-mundo.

Nice!

Ugh. No, the house is murdering both of us, though. Gotta rob Peter to pay Paul, if Peter is our heating system and Paul is our insurance company :)

Do you like the WFRP system? I originally looked at it like a year or two ago, was put off by the custom dice system, but now having played Star Wars, I'm on board with the narrative dice. Do you find it to be a similar mechanic to SWRPG? Cause I ******* love the Warhammer Universe, at least the pre Age of Sigmar update.

WFRP3E is nice Dice wise, but horrible on the Careers/Talents. I found many of the Careers to seem very odd versus other ones. This is also backed up with the "fixed" leveling up. (You have to buy a Wound Threshold, Strain Threshold, Talent, and Skill before you get to the 6 'Open' slots, and then, once you fill your 10 Slots in a Career, you can't take any more and the Career puts limits on what you can take.)

The troopers are all within medium range for me right now? So I would need to suffer strain to take two maneuvers before I could make an attack correct?

I'm guessing that is my best option at the moment.

Yes indeed. You've got strain to burn ;)

I left my rulebook at home, it is 1 strain or 2 strain? If I try to attack with both I will add one black die to the normal 2 diff and need 2 advantage to hit twice. Does that sound correct?

Attacking the Troopers, since they are minions, is just a single attack. Unless you want to Auto-fire (+1 Difficulty, 2 Advantage for extra Hits). If you're using a Lightsaber, then just attack as normal (including their Melee Defense) and swing away. You kill multiple minions by doing high damage.

It's 2 strain for a second maneuver.

If you want to attack with both lightsabers, you increase the difficulty by +1 (no setback die). And it does require 2 Advantage to hit twice. It's a bit of a gamble! Especially since you can't take another maneuver to aim.

He's using 2 training sabers, so no Breach.

-Extra Maneuver costs 2 Strain.

-1 Normal attack = PP.

-Double Attack = PPP 2xAdv to get the extra hit.

You choose.

Edit: As always, I'm late :P

Edit 2: Tahiri will do wonders when he gets his Strategic Form.

Did the troopers have any melee defense?

They're soft as a baby. Hit'em hard, hit'em well, hit'em often!

Yeah, no defense. No adversary. Their soak value is their only saving grace ;)

And their numbers. Twenty, no less! (14 remaining).

Hunting Jedi is serious bizness

Careers have always been a big part of how WFRP works. With the freedom of how easy it is to access talents, actions and most of the other stuff available to characters, the system needs to have something to make the careers feel like careers, life decisions are specific paths that your character wants to take. So you move from one career to the next... Much like you would in normal life.

It was actually just 18 to start with, and there are 13 remaining :) There were 9 on top of the building and 9 on the ground, and H4L took out 5 so far on the roof. Tahiri's attack hurt one on the ground, but didn't take him down.

Hey guys, I'm gonna be away for a good while over the next few days, so if my action comes up, please feel free to take it for me. I think you can all guess what I want to do...

Oh crap it's an NPC turn, isn't it. I'll get one up in the morning guys, my apologies for making you wait.
