The Others, Other, Other Red Meat (Force and Destiny)

That's fine with me....so what's our plan?

Find out where my brother is?

Trail those who do?

I got the impression Gabriel was part of the salvage winnings...

Yes, he is part of the winnings, but there are a number of things against you, including the fact that nobody is a stellar pilot and also that the encounter is (probably my fault) pretty flat.

It's looking like a PC loss is a foregone conclusion, so we could retcon things a bit and say that it is "all part of the plan." In true Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon Jinn form. Except everything rides on you losing the race.

And now it just befalls the PCs to have formulated a plan to somehow hijack the winnings.

I imagine that Gormo can try causing the biggest distraction possible, with the help of the other racer.

Good. Sal and Gormo could be the distraction, and then what else?

Is it general knowledge where the salvage is? If so, we could beat them there.

If we know who won the salvage we could trail them...or steal the navigational data for the salvage from them while they are distracted?

The whereabouts of the salvage are not general knowledge. That might be a good thing to find out at some point.

There's a trcking beacon on the hutt. When he ollects his winnings, you know where it is. All according to plan. :P

What if the wookiee reprogrammed a droid to follow the winner when he goes to get his winnings?

Ah...interesting. But who will have placed the beacon? It'd require a Destiny Point spent and a Hard Skulduggery check with 2 setbacks.

I like it, either as Plan A or just a bit of redundancy to ensure success. Either way, it's a good plan! Perhaps Wes could help you with the Skulduggery part, and you could perform the Mechanics?

Did someone say Skulduggery? =)

Should I make that check now in the IC thread?

And I'm assuming that the required DP does not affect the dice pool (e.g., no upgrade)?

Yeah, the Destiny Point is to directly affect the story, and have "already done it." Otherwise the difficulty would be quite a bit harder :)

I'll go ahead and spend a Dark Side Destiny Point to upgrade your Difficulty, though :)

Ok, my roll is up in the IC thread - no success with Triumph....so Wes failed to place the beacon but can I use the Triumph to have overheard some useful information in locating the salvage?

Why, yes you can have done so.

You learned that the "really good stuff" is located in Chulba the Hutt's personal suite, nearby the racetrack. And the rest of the salvage is in an undisclosed location in space, known to Chulba and the upper members of his gang.

What is everyone else doing to carry out this "plan" of yours?

I plan to be a maguffin. :P

Hey all, so where are we at?

If Gralrrua does indeed want to do the mechanics thing, he needs just roll an Average (vAUuWiq.pngvAUuWiq.png) Mechanics check.

Rest of you, let me know what you want to do to affect the outcome of the race. Gormo and Sal are in prime position to do something on the track and be a good diversion, for example :) I'll check back in tomorrow.

Maybe Gormo could shoot up beside the Weequay racers and Terrify them into crashing, likely crashing his own craft as well and starting a big brawl right on the track between piled up racers?

is the check upgraded twice?

Yes. It's an opposed roll against the droid's internal processes.

I made it with a threat.

2eP+1eA+2eC: 2 successes, 1 threat [2eP=S/A, -] [1eA=S] [2eC=Th, Th]

Look at that! Sarone?

I like that a lot. Go ahead and make the prescribed Coercion check. Sorry I couldn't respond to this on Sunday; lost my phone charger and the phone died after I posted the reply to Gralrrua's action :)

Check for Terrify Talent:

Terrify Power Check: 1eA+2eP+3eD+1eF 2 failures, 1 Triumph, 1 Dark Side

Hah, so two failures and a triumph. Also, if Gormo is assumed to be wearing his Beast Armor he gains a free advantage. So Gormo would fail to Terrify the Weequay riders, but maybe his showboating causes a crash with someone else? Or maybe he manages to shove one of the Weequay racers into the stands, which crashes into a force field and shorts out the lights in the arena for a while?

I like it! You didn't actually succeed with coercion, but you did manage to take out the lights in the arena. Excellent.

Sarone?

There's not a whole lot for Sal to do with the race. Only thing I can think of would be to try and finish in a respectable place, especially since we have one pilot causing havoc.

What would the pilot check for that be?

Sal can make an Average Piloting check. The more Successes, the better your finish.

Welp, here it goes.

Pilot Check for finish: 2eA+1eP+2eD 1 failure, 1 advantage
a--.pnga-a-a.pngp-s-a.pngd-f-f.pngd-th-th.png

Eh, not too great, but also not too bad. That probably puts me as dead last.

Handling Bonus: 2eB 0 successes
b--.pngb--.png

Eh, it didn't hurt to add those two boost.
