Thanks for your kind words.
I'll read the story when I have today.... Excited for the conclusion!
As to posting conventions, I will be using red (and Lucida font) for OOC speech in IC thread. I'll also be using orange for speech, or an equally legible color in the event of multiple speakers.
Dice pools should go where appropriate... Usually either before their resolution narrative or after a block text that describes a character's efforts only.
Any preference regarding our characters' speech and thoughts? Or our OOC speech in the IC thread?
As far as OOC is concerned, we seem to have used blue so far, which seems a nice little opposite to your red.
Ha ha, indeed.
As long as we are clear on OOC vs. IC text, and character speech vs. narrative text, I think it should go smoothly. So to whatever degree that it is aesthetically pleasing to you and legible for others, it'll great.
Will get an IC post up soon.
By the way, what did we decide on the group resource thing? A holocron?
I believe it was a ship...don't worry, it's not the one you came in on
I assume we all survive the landing then? Do all the crew survive as well? If not, I suppose I'll use the Triumph to increase the survival rate, possibly through extending the calming aura I've created to others to help them relax their bodies to counter to stress of the crash. If not, perhaps I could extend it to the pilot to aid his efforts in getting the ship down in one piece to salvage needed gear and supplies and/or allowing the ship to survive in good enough condition where it might be repairable?
The pilot has already made a Successful roll, so yes you all survived relatively unmolested
You could use the Triumph, perhaps, to salvage a Crash Kit from the downed ship? Just a suggestion.
Sounds like a plan, sure.
So I spend a Triumph and then take strain damage or use a Destiny Point?
Yes, the Triumph was spent for there to be salvageable material (essentially giving you 500 credits' worth of stuff free right off the bat...not too shabby, if you ask me!). I thought requiring a check to get it out of the burning wreck was a little much, so strain (kinda like taking two maneuvers, hustling your bustle) or a DP (for "having already thought of it") seemed the most appropriate.
Ack...sorry for not providing a Difficulty, Korro Zal. Yes, it would have been Average. But no, skill checks do not have a "default difficulty" of any amount. So in general, if I fail to give you a difficulty, you can just ask. I'll endeavor to actually tell you guys the difficulties of course
Okay, let's talk dice etiquette.
This is a PbP, so it's impossible for us to see what dice people are picking up before they're rolled, so there's no opportunities for peers to correct the dice pool before it "hits the table."
So, general Policy: Once dice are rolled, even electronically, please honor the roll if at all possible.
1. Don't reroll an entire pool if you are missing any dice; simply roll those missing dice (most common are Difficulty, Boost, and Setback dice) and add them to the original post. You can get some pretty funky (by which I mean disappointing!) results from rerolling all your positive dice.
The following should be your actual dice pool for the Leadership check ; please ignore the second post's positive dice:
(That's 2 Success, 1 Advantage.)
2. When posting dice additions, you can either post them like I did just there (inline with each other) or as a separate block in the same post...whichever you prefer.
3. If you ever totally mess up a dice pool, I will ask you to reroll the whole thing, but that will only be in situations where the problem can't be solved by simply adding more dice or taking away dice that were added by mistake.
And while we're talking about it, Orokos keeps a public record of rolls. So if you go to post, you roll the dice, and then the browser/computer crashes before you can post (for example), you can just go back into your account, find the skill check, and copy the code again, and post! Seems like the roll history is kept for about 13 months, so that's pretty cool.
Thanks guys...you're all doing great so far.
Thanks for clarifying that. On with the adventure!
Okay, I think we are all set. Sorry to have to rearrange things in the IC thread guys, but the narrative just wasn't making any sense
We are moving into structured play now, so after this we can try out narrative play again and see if we can't keep it so that timelines jive with each other!
Sorry. I was enthusiastic. I will keep a hold on the timeline from now on.

I really appreciate both the activity and the enthusiasm. It's often hard to get PbPs off the ground (harder to keep them going!), and you guys have been fantastic so far in keeping things real. So thank you.
Add defensive to the curved hilt : 2eA+2eP+3eD+1eS 3 successes
Well that's one down for -100 credits. I'll do more when we have more time. My character sheet has been updated.
Just FYI...when modding your own lightsaber, you can reduce the difficulty of the Mechanics check by 2. If it's the crystal that you're modding, you also add your Force dice to the mix. Doesn't make a difference here, since you succeeded just fine, but just so you know for the future!
Okay, I have to use the characteristic of one party with the skill of the other, so I'll use Firan's Presence of two with my Leadership of 1.
Assisted Leadership : 2eA+1eP+1eB+1eS 4 successes, 2 advantage
It looks like you intended to use Firan's presence, but you actually used your own presence of 3—that's okay, and as it should be. If you're performing an
Assisted Check
and one PC has the best of both characteristic and skill rank, then instead of using the "skilled assistance" option you simply
add a Boost die for unskilled assistance.
In other words, you don't normally get penalized for having someone less competent than you helping you out on a skill check. The Boost die is enough of a crapshoot to simulate that
I have to admit that I am rather intrigued by Maya. Very nice indeed.
On a somewhat related note, I have been refreshing like crazy. Seems I am a wee bit excited about this game.

I'll take that as compliment. It'll take me some time to find her character. I have to go back and edit my posts sometimes because her voice is too mature.

Noted!
Oh good, I was worried I was the only one manically refreshing and checking the page every 15 minutes. I've been trying hard to get Kovin's voice right. I want him to come across as jokey but I'm not sure if I'm getting it. If not I'll go back to my usual serious character theme.
I feel Firan is coming off as more of a Han Solo than a Boba Fett, voice wise, just because of my sense of humor I guess. And the nature of Star Wars banter.
It's ok Seifer is coming off as completely inept. The flankers ignored him and then he got disarmed likea clumsy oaf.... good times. Gonna have to get Strategic Form fast.

Yeah, I feel kinda bad for poor Xan...I want to see him in action!
At least you only have one more round of being immobilized
Zelt is hiding himself in the undergrowth near Maya to protect her. Can he have a Boost or something as he's hidden from the foe? Also, if I take two maneuvers but no action do I still suffer strain?
Is there a specific action you'd like Zelt to take? Just wondering how you are thinking a Boost die might be applied.
You may trade your action down for a maneuver, but if you do not make a Stealth check, you will be noticed. Of course, Maya has already been noticed, standing out there like she is!
