I'm not sure what Maya would be doing. Probably just keeping an eye on the camp while others are out scavenging. Most likely with a pleased smile on her face.
Shadows of the Future [Force and Destiny] OOC
Firan shoots that enemy in the back of the head.
Or will at least ready his weapon, as that may not go over well with some of the party and I'd like them to have a chance to have a say.
Edited by Revanchist7Interesting situation!
We'll handle it in real time. If Revanchist7 posts first with the attack roll, Firan gets the shot off before Xan is able to do anything about it. But if Korro Zal gets a post in, he can have Xan take notice and try to stop him (or not, and possibly gain 1 Conflict).
In case you have not noticed it yet, I just saw that you can edit the Morality entry in SWSheets now.
Thanks for pointing that out. I've already updated mine!
Edited by ColonelCommissarI should also check to see if I can add the final upgrades to bind that I purchased. It was doing some weird stuff whenever I was trying to fill out my powers.
So, IC, Jonas and Seifer have already made Easy Resilience checks; I just need someone to either a) roll us up an Easy Resilience check to go without, or b) to roll a Force die and consume what is leftover from the Flesh Raider's provisions.
I think we have at least two more days of traveling, so we should probably save Kovin's Survival check for tomorrow. That being the case, who will make today's check?
I'll just need that Resilience check from Maya before we proceed with the Survival check; until then, please feel free to converse and RP with each other! Yesterday was a bit of a downer, you all might need some mutual encouragement. Maybe some funny stories about superstitious Flesh Raiders...
Was I supposed to roll it in this thread? I rolled it in the IC thread. Oops.
Was I supposed to roll it in this thread? I rolled it in the IC thread. Oops.
Nope, I was just looking at an old instance of the Force and Destiny forum and thought there were no new replies in the IC
Also, I forgot—Jonas and Seifer, for their Advantage, can each add a Boost die to the first check they make today.
"There certainly appear to be few options but to go through the camp. Perhaps we could draw them away and sneak through? A fire could possibly draw their attention?" Seifer strokes his goatee as he muses over the groups options.
They are encamped at a sort of choke-point in the ravine. You could draw them away, but in doing so you would draw them
towards
you
Up to you of course!
You could decide to sneak through (a Formidable
check), choose a PC to make that check, and then have every other PC do something to bolster that one check! For example, lighting a fire might be a Deception check to draw them to one side of the (albeit narrow) ravine, or you could use some form of the Force to scare them. All of these methods are fraught with danger of discovery, of course, but in the end you've gotta consider the risk/reward ratio.
Just let me know what you all want to do and we will go from there. I'll hand out the difficulties and we'll have everyone make their skill checks!
Edited by awayputurwpnI will admit that Awayputurwpn is making it far too difficult for me to tell my redemption story. I'm not mad, I'm just impressed.
Edited by kaosoeA question: Do Critical Injuries go away at some point? Or do they do so only after a successful Medicine check? Because I seem to still have one (an Easy one) and if someone could have taken care of it during our rest, that would have been grand. If not, well, there is always next time. :-)

After a week of rest you can attempt a resilience check per critical injury.
As far as the plan on how to handle the situation with the Flesh Raiders. I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
So are we fighting, causing a distraction, or straight up sneaking around them? I'm pretty confused.
Yeah I totally would have tried to heal it.
Regarding the plan to evade or confront the Flesh Raiders, it's totally up to you guys, but there will be Conflict involved for initiating hostilities
I'll be AFK for a few hours...

You can spend a Destiny Point and have Seifer make the Medicine check! Does that sound like a plan?
So are we doing the sneaky-sneaky or the shooty-shooty? My vote is sneaking around - I've suggested ways of boosting the roll - but it's up to you. Kovin hasn't seen anything to provoke his Hatred, while after what happened to Maya he's in a Compassionate mood, so I'd be opposed to initiating hostilities.
If possible. I would like to use Foresee to aide in the sneaky-sneaky.
Perhaps we could have Firan blast the lip of the ravine and have Xan cause some rocks to fall as a distraction an just run like hell through the camp while we have the element of surprise.

I'll do it then.
Edited by Silver CraneCan I use Seek to find an easier path around, or Sense to find out where the Flesh Raiders are (possibly giving a boost to the stealth check)
If possible. I would like to use Foresee to aide in the sneaky-sneaky.
Yeah, so here's how we can do things.
Both of you go ahead and roll a power check. All of those options are golden, but I'd like you to narrate what your character "senses" through the Force and give that info to the other PCs in the IC thread. So long as you put a good word in, Force pips translate directly to Success and/or Advantage on the Stealth check.

Xan can roll a Move check, same story as Kovin and Maya, except the narration will need to take place a lot closer to the action
Force points translate to either Success or Advantage.
And then let's do this: I like your thinking. Firan can blast the ravine to distract them in place of the Stealth check. It'll have two Setbacks in addition to the Formidable difficulty, since it's essentially a "called shot" (he has to aim really carefully to pull it off).
Well, if we go the Stealth route, success will depend on Firan making his Stealth check with the boosts granted by Kovin's Force usage. That seems easier than scaring them, but it leaves the possibility of them coming after us at a later time.
If we give them a good scare without directly harming them, they will likely flee the area and not come back before we're done here without us earning Conflict, but achieving success is less likely because it will depend upon multiple rolls (with Setbacks!) and my guess about their behavior being correct.
Should we put this to a vote?
It looks like in the IC thread everyone's doing something to aid in the stealth check. So we're kind of already find our way to help out. I would wager if someone wanted to perform a check to cause a distraction or scare away the raiders, that too would be taken into account when we roll the final check.
