Yeah I'm tagging along with the party.
Shadows of the Future [Force and Destiny] OOC
How many miles did we cover on the first day?
13 miles down, 37 to go! As the avian flies, at least
I think I will stick with the nicely uniform black with
bold for speech
and
italics for thought
. I may like those two things to differentiate from the descriptive text, but not by that much, as I still want to be reminded of reading a story, but that is just me. Besides, I already use
purple (because I generally like the color and it is my favorite lightsaber color as well) for combat stats
and we have
blue for OOC speech
.
Silver Crane, I was expecting something
light blue
or
cyan
from you to be honest. And Korro Zal to go
green
as per his lightsaber (at least I think it is green...).
Those are a lot of colors...
Well I went with green cause of the Green Jedi bit. Pluse light blue and cyan are hard to read.
If you are doing anything specific this evening in-game, let me know, otherwise we push forward tomorrow (game time) with a (harder) Survival check.
Edited by awayputurwpnI'd like to do some more modding on my saber assuming there aren't gonna be a ton of setback dice thrown my way.
You are free to mod your saber. Remember to add Force dice for crystal mods, and reduce difficulties by 2 for your own lightsaber.
Also be sure to narrate what you're doing IC! You might want to let Kovin watch...and totally nerd out...
Edited by awayputurwpn10-4. Are you ok with me doing 2 mods at this time, or just one?
Edited by Silver CraneYou can perform a second mod, but if you generate any Threat, you could be up all night finishing it.
What would you like to do with the Advantage generated?
Nerd-out commencing...
Just asking, but as Kovin and Maya are Togruta should their assistance add two Boost dice?

I'll add a boost die to my next check.
We can move things forward to the next day, if you guys are ready. Didn't want to interrupt the RP going on, which is really great.
I'm enjoying it too. I'm very conflicted - part of me wants to move things along to get to the rest of the adventure, while another part is enjoying itself way too much to stop talking!
There's always more time for conversation!
....or is there?
A wild Sith Lord appears!
And me without my lightsaber (the other reason to hurry things along)...
I do not mind if we move on. After all, there is going to be plenty of opportunity for chitchat.
Same as FCastor.
I agree. Next check please! Probably Jonas or Maya next as they both have relatively good pools. I'll go last when it gets hardest.
Just asking, but as Kovin and Maya are Togruta should their assistance add two Boost dice?
I will have to check the book when I get home; is it for Skilled Assistance or specifically for the Assist maneuver?
Any assistance maneuver
Just to let everyone know, I'm again away this weekend (reenacting the American Civil War this time) so after I go AFK tonight I'm unlikely to post until Sunday evening. Sorry guys!
Any assistance maneuver
Cool, so it is available specifically in structured play (but not when performing Skilled/Unskilled Assistance). See "Other Types of Check > Assisted Checks > Assistance and Timing" in Chapter I, and "Maneuvers > Types of Maneuvers > Assist" in Chapter VI, for reference.
This makes your maneuvers, essentially, double-powered. You should be looking for any excuse to use this in combat.
(Sorry for not responding earlier to the question; I only just saw it for some reason a little bit ago)

The exact quote is 'the assist maneuver' so it may only apply if providing assistance to a skill check

It's at a tank museum. Good times will be had...
