The art for most of these cards is borderline stock Star Wars art, there's nothing to be read into it (sadly). I'm pretty sure Mara Jade is on art of a few cards.

I also heard that FFG was going to create a new game right up your alley...

But seriously.... given they renamed Carnor Jax to Imperial Guard Champion given the old EU is now "Legends" I wouldn't really count on it. If they do decide to utilize her concept for the game... she'd probably just get called "Sith Inquisitor", since those are official canon now.

I hope we get her she is one of the character I want most in the game. I also really hope that if we get the Emperor that him Vader and Mara would be able to fit in the 40 points for Skirmish considering I considered them to be his two hands. Vader to go in and smash things directly, and Mara when he needed a more subtle touch.

That said I doubt we will see her soon both because of the EU the way it is, hoping she becomes is re-added sooner rather than later, and they may wait to release her around the episode six mark, or a Jabba Palace update as she did go undercover there, just hope she is in her standard gear rather than some dancer garb.

I thought Mara was cool, but my favorite EU character by far was Grand Admiral Thrawn. But I don't think he'd fit into this game, he belongs in space battles.

True but at least she was in the radio drama version of episode six.

Isn't she supposed to be coming back in the Disney canon, though? I thought I read somewhere she was going to appear in season 2 of Rebels.

Legends is a limbo state, not complete oblivion. Some will make its way into main canon again, though likely not unchanged (so while Jade, Katarn, Thrawn et al may make it back their legends adventures likely largely not, beyond enough backstory etc to make them recognisably them.)

The EU purge was to make a space for the films, and allow them to set the direction post endor, while maintaining a useful pool of ideas.
