The green banner and blue banner goblins look the same. Why? All other units get unique sculpts. Why not the goblins?
The one thing that drives me crazy about BL...
Hello,
When a unit exist in two or tree level, their banner have always same graphic.
Exemple : blue and green human cavalry, blue and green "Iron Dwarves Bagpipers", red, blue and green "swordmen", blue and green goblins ...
Try painting them up and you will find it easier to tell them apart!

I think you misunderstand what I am saying. I am not talking about the banner graphics, I mean the figures.
Blue and green human cavalry have different sculpts. Red, blue and green human infantry all have different sculpts. However, the green and blue goblins are the same figure.
Bagpipers are specialist units and get excused form the difference.

I don't think it is difficult to tell them apart. It's just the lack of respect that the goblins seem to get.

I've had BattleLore since day one and this is a question about which I've always wondered. Since they took the time to do a different sculpt for the red banner goblins and there are more than a few units that only consist of 4 figures, I'm sure they could have done different sculpts for the green and blue goblins. I don't remember any scenarios in the base game that required you to swap flags to increase or decrease the number of green or blue gobs either.
It's not game breaking or anything, but there have been instances when a goblin figure from a green banner unit got knocked into a unit with a blue banner. I'm fairly sure we caught these "migrations" and were able to set things right.
I don't even bother to use the green banners for goblin infantry. I've made all mine blue banner infantry. Sometimes I make the lizard cavalry blue too. When an all goblin army goes up against any other army they almost always loose so I've changed their banners, especially the cavalry.
While I guess it IS an issue, it's never taken away one bit of my enjoyment of the game! We're playing Epic at our game club this Sunday and REALLY looking forward to it!
The difference has never really bothered me either. My complaint is that one of the Goblin expansions ships with the wrong flags, but FFG fixed this for me. I am looking forward to painting my battlelore set, but I am working on my Conan set first. Descent, done. Conan, started. Battlelore, next.
