I do remember seeing a cool "fly casual" T with a lamda silhouette. I have no idea where it came from though.

That was a fan-made t-shirt created when the game was really young. It was created by Doug Kinney (sp?), the first X-Wing world champion. He loved that the X-Wing community seemed much more fun and easy-going than other competitive environments. People seemed to just want to show up and play a great game 1st -- winning was secondary to having fun. To foster that idea, he rallied the community and made these shirts so that people could show their commitment to "Fly Casual," or in other words, to put having fun ahead of a desire to win.
