Some Space-Rocks.net Praise

This is pretty depressing

That is pretty depressing. Strange that Space Rocks told me at the time of my initial order that production would take 8-10 days and shipping would take 5-10 days. According to this link shipping can take up to 42 days. So maybe I will eventually get both orders.

Sorry, I've made a mistake. It's not International Economy, which is the cheapest, but International Standard. At least that's what my Paypal notification said. That's 3-5 working days to Europe, 5-7 working days rest of the world. Clearly that is not the case though, I got my Paypal notification 11 days ago.

Just to let you know Space Rocks have replied to this topic to address some of the concerns but their post is awaiting approval by a moderator at the moment

I got my PayPal shipping notification, for the replacement order, exactly 10 days ago.

I am not upset, just concerned. I am sure that there are a lot of intricacies involved with this situation. I find it a hassle to just sell something on eBay to people within the US. I can only imagine how complicated international sales and shipping must be.

Well, to be fair, you guys are across the pond. It might take a while. If I have the grand fortune of getting them first, I'll let you guys know.

Looks like the post from Space Rocks has now been approved and has appeared further up the thread due to the time it was originally posted

Thank you Mike. I will check my email today to see if I fall into the "returned on accident" list.

Hi guys, I’m Mike from Space Rocks :)

ESSAY APPROACHING!

ESSAY

END ESSAY.

Thanks for your time guys, we love you all.

Ever respectfully,

Mike @ Space Rocks

So far everyone has really praised your product, and I am looking forward to getting my mitts on them! I'll be sure to post some lovely photos over on the blog:)

Like several of you, I didn't receive the initial order I made in July from Space-Rocks via Amazon. I contacted Mike a couple of weeks ago, he sent a replacement order last Monday to Virginia, and it arrived today. Great product and solid customer service. I hope this provides some optimism for those still waiting.

Matt

My buddy and I were in the same boat with lost orders (from July) but Space Rocks customer service has been good to work with. Looking forward to getting the shipment!

My Space Rocks order arrived today. :D

Now I just wish I had time today to start working on it. :(

Hm, don't love hearing this, just ordered a set:(. Could be that they got overwhelmed by the response, to be frank. I actually asked for mine unpainted, in the hope that might get them here quicker, since I will in effect be painting them.

And I have a cool addition for them all painted up... Just need them to get here:)

Took about a month but mine just showed up in all of its spiffy glory.

The initial email I got when I ordered mentioned an increased demand lately (probably due to a certain podcast). And that it would take a couple weeks to ship. But it did ship and arrived here in sunny CA yesterday.

I received my package today! Yey! I was on the run so I couldn't tell exactly if it was the first package or the second.

The package, however, had been opened at some point! Nothing seemed to be missing. I couldn't help noticing that it said SPACE ROCKS on the side. Might not be a good idea to advertise something like that on the box, eh? I'm curious if there's any connection between advertising the contents as such and the missing packages.

Hi Chilligan,

That's...odd. The only point at which our name is on the box is in our return address, so nothing that should draw any attention (because, like you say, we don't want to advertise the contents!) Was it written or printed on?

Now that I got home and could look at the box at leisure, Space rocks are indeed mentioned only on the return address (twice though, Space Rocks Space Rocks 16 Rowden Drive).

There's also a Customs declaration, which I think you filled, which mentions "may be opened officialy". Now in this instance I don't think it passed through customs, and even if it did, they would put some sort of sticker after checking the contents. In any case, nothing was missing from the package. Everything's in order, and I can confirm that this is the second package you sent my way. Thanks for the prompt answer and for sending them one more time!

I ordered probably the first day that they were brought up on the podcast. I received them a couple of weeks ago, they "ROCK".... ugh, sorry, couldn't help it.

They are awesome though. I totally understand any delays due to the increased demand for the product. They are so very worth any extra wait.

I ordered mine, it took around 4 weeks to get my order. I love them though, it was worth the wait. Also when it hits the mainland its a USPS thing. You can ask them to put a tracking number for you on your order.

I am exceedingly nervous to paint up the smoldering edges when they get here. They look SO fantastic on those photos, I am not sure I can match it:)

Hey! As the guy who did the smoldering edges on the space rocks stuff, it's not hard! Just apply your red a bit liberally to the edges that would still be burning (think of burning paper and how the fire moves outwards). Then, entirely within the red do some orange. Finally, much more sparingly, apply yellow splotches within the orange. It goes quickly and looks great! I knocked this out tonight while watching a movie:

Wow, that's really the way a CR-90 Corvette should look...

...when the Empire's done with it. :D

Where are you based, out of curiosity? I also didn't get mine, also got the same response when I emailed.

I'm in the Southern U.S. and the product was shipping from U.K. Maybe a problem at Royal Mail? I wonder if in a year from now, some strange space-rocks will show up on our door-steps having circumnavigated the Earth.

It's very cool to be getting an extra set of asteroids, though. I can be experimental with my paining and not worry too much. I have this idea of trying to make one look like a giant golden nugget. Why I find that hilarious, I'm not really sure.

Or it git caught up clearing customs.

Appreciate it! I read your piece on WWPD, but crap, still nervous. Funny, been painting for three decades and I've painted some big stuff, but this for some reason seems tricky:)

I'll post results when I get them done.

Also doing a bunch of destroyed squadron ships to have sticking off at various points... Here is a the first bit of work... I intend to scatter them throughout both the debris and the asteroids, with a focus on the debris fields.

So I am in Australia and looks like my order was also sent back and they have had to sent it again. Mike Evans from space rocks has been great at keeping me in contact and in the loop and offered me a 10% discount on the next purchase (although other posters seem to be getting 15%...) Sadly though it seems even after they reposted it may have been rejected again. Its been over a month since i put in the original order but atleast they have offered to send it via UPS the 3rd time around.

My replacment order just arrived, about 10-14 days after shipping (I was out of town and dont know the exact delivery date). Although it took a while to get here, the product is well worth it! The customer service was top notch, and if I get some spare cash I would more than be willing to look into more products from Space-Rocks! Now to use WWPD Steven's tutorial to add some spice!!
