Your largest game?

By Crayon, in X-Wing

Last night we played a 4v4 with each player having 200 points.

This led me to invision full squadrons of Ships supporting each other, and so I came here to ask "what is the most ships (not points) you've fielded at a single time?"

Probably this Friday when my buddy and I do a 400 Pt epic

I'll have 11 ships plus the Raider

Think that'll be the most I've ever flown

We have plans afoot to re-create the battle of endor (or as near to it as we can) however since that is merely a plan at this stage i will have to settle for the 1x squardron of tie/ln's, 1x squadron of interceptors and 1x squadron of tie bombers (plus boba) (flown by me) vs 1x squadron of A-wings, 1x squadron of B-wings and 1x squadron of X-wings (plus the falcon) flown by a couple of mates... this was done not long after i first started playing and was pre-epic ship...

I must point out that i have seen pics of some truly awesome sized games though which dwarf "our little game" above....

(i'd bet my house joeboss has done something bat-crap-crazy and wait with baited breath for his post to this thread... :D )

Friday gone done 600 v 600 (2x300 vs 3x200)

Urban Cannibal and I did the battle of Endor and i think it was a lot of points

, around 600 a side. Ships flew in flights of four etc

This was a fairly large 'huge ships' epic game too.

I feel like mentioning the famous Direman comic is appropriate to the dress code chosen for this game.

Well it's not exactly X-wing, but this is probably the largest Attack Wing game ever. I really want to play an X-wing version of this...

We played a full Sunday afternoon 600x600 pts.

(spoiler cuz very pic-heavy)

It looked like this:

Imperial side:

Scrum of all scrums, (until we play 1000 pt games anyhow. :P)

When doing an Epic game you are legally obligated to have at least 8 TIE Fighters. 11 ships at 400 points, pfffft.

had a few very big ones the last one was 3vs3 150 point/player with an extra 50 points/player reinforcements at round 5 ... the game started with 2 raiders and 2 cr-90's

3v3 200 points per person. It would be fun if it didn't take so long. The guy across the table from me and I just decided to start skipping over the PS order in combat and some maneuvering to speed things up, but it only led to us waiting on everyone else.

Even in the 2v2 200 point each game we played recently, I think we got 3 turns done in a ridiculous amount of time. I just don't care much for it. I like smaller, faster paced games.

The only thing I found interesting about the larger games were the possibilities a larger map and more small ships opened up. It was fun deciding if I should keep turning and dogfighting or flying by to flank with a team mate. Something you don't get much of in smaller games.

I also didn't care for waiting on all the Epic ship players to do everything they needed to do on a large ship. And that coupled with the fact that no one's really flown Epic ships a lot compared to small and large meant a lot of time was wasted.

I think it was 4 v 3 v 2; Rebels, Imperials, and Scum respectfully. Each player had 150 points, and one of the Rebels fielded only a heavily armed CR90. We played on a 3x9 field with rebs and imps at opposite ends longways and the scum near the middle closer to the rebels. The scum attacked the Rebels first and for a good 4+ hours all the imperials could do was move every half hour full blast and watch as the rebels and scum duked it out. It ended after the imperials first round of combat after nearly 5 hours of play. I'll see if I have pictures later.

we did a 1000 point a side game and we went by all of the regular x-wing rules and it took 18 hours and. we have a 1500 point game when wave 7 hits.

My largest game so far was a 300 point epic game a few months back. Empire VS Rebellion and I had 11 ships total.

5 ties

2 bombers

1 defender

1 interceptor

1 advanced

1 decimator

I've done 300 vs 300. A good buddy played his first X-wing at a con doing a large, epic game. It was so slow and boring that it turned him off the game for a full year. I had to talk him into trying it again.

I intend to do a 1000/1000 game to celebrate the building of my table in the war room when that's done. It'll be on 8X4.

Till then 400/400 is my high.

I did a three faction 150-pt game at GenCon with a couple guys. Biggest I ever tried, anyway. Thing took forever.

How did a 3 way fight work for you?
