If you fire your AHMs, let's say on Corran's E-wing, and get a direct hit result. Does that negate his shields and destroying him?

Yes - if the number of damage cards a ship receives is equal to or greater than its hull value it is destroyed.

Looks like those tanky ships are a it less tanky. Like B-wings. The resilience of the Y-wing is amazing. A wave1 ship that has a place in the ever changing meta.
