Will we get single Scum Z95's pack? Will Scum get X-wings, and a epic ships?

By Paperairpain, in X-Wing Off-Topic

So well all know the new T70's will be here, and I know we are all happy about having new ships! Lets face it we wont be going back in time to the unspeakable three, but I guess we can keep looking forward...

So the T65's we all know and love are now old hand me downs. So will Scum pick them up? I know card pack are out of the question, even though no matter what FF is trying to do with this game they have made it a CARD GAME with ships.

That being said do we think we need Scum Z-95 single, and Y-wing single packs? Part of me kind of will say no to this, but the other side knows I wont pay $40-$28 just to get two more Z's in scum paint because then I get all that other worthless stuff I already have. But if we do have single packs this will give at least two more unique pilots for everything. This will also go with they Y-wings, and the hand me down X-wings. Really most of the Rebel stuff could get a Scum make over and be sold as a "new ship". I think its save to say Scum would not be getting any Imperial goodies, but what do I know. Scum Falcon, and Outrider? Hey why not right?

As for the last part of this 3am ramble... what do you all think will happen with Scum for epic ships?

X-wing's are pretty exclusive to the rebellion given incom defected to make them the ships instead of the empire.

If scum were getting the x-wing why would wave seven include the k fighter? Makes no sense.

And if they were going to do individual scum z-95 expansions we'd of heard about it by now.

Its all about retail rackspace.

Most stores can only accommodate 'x' amounts of products. Duplicating ships makes little sense retail wise if you have them in the same pack.

Like if you were a stall holder and had say the stupidly small space of 'four rails' , would you stock an Y wing, z95, tie int and b wing or stock 2 Z95s and 2 Y wings?

Yeah Scum X-Wings were rare in the EU and nothing I have seen in canon changes that IMO Now Scum B-Wings might happen.

Scum should get both YT's. I have said this all along. But, for some reason, smugglers in the Star Wars universe are considered "Good Guys" when they should really be, at best, neutral. I'm sure there are plenty of smugglers that would run "off the books" imperial jobs. SMUGGLERS ARN'T ALL GOOD GUYS!!!!!

In fact the first time we meet Han, he's been working for Jabba and is in a 'Wretched hive yadda yadda'!!!

That being said do we think we need Scum Z-95 single, and Y-wing single packs? It would be nice to have new pilots, but I just don't see it happening. For one thing, Most Wanted gives you 3 ship models for $5 cheaper. I'd rather buy those in bulk than have to go buy individual Zs and Ys just to get the new cards that come with it.

The problem is with the 3rd and 4th Most Wanted packs. Assuming you already have 2 Y-wings, 2 copies of Most Wanted gives you all the Scum Y-wings you can use, but only 4 Z-95s (6 if you own 2 Rebel Z-95s, restrict your list-building, and use Rebel dials). So if you want 8 Zs you need another 1 or 2 Most Wanted. At that point, you're basically paying $10 extra for those Z-95s.

Still, I wouldn't change it. I think Most Wanted is a nice package and a smart move by FFG. Plus, I don't think 8 Z-95s is really that great of a squad anyway. And finally, Rebel Y-wings still only have 2 unique pilots and they were released in Wave 1. Scum can wait to get new Z-95 and Y-wing pilots.

This looks scarily on topic....

I saw something that looked suspiciously like an X-wing in the Droids TV series (set in 15 BBY).

Episode 12: Across the Roon Sea - at about the 9:28 mark.

That said, it could have been a "double S-foil Headhunter" - a bit like Booster Terrick's one that Wedge used in about 3BBY:
