An epic night of... 3 seperate long drawn out battles. It was an epic 4v4 grudge match, 2 raiders vs 2 corvettes, and a big swarm of fighters.

In all Honesty we should have stuck to FFG's 3x6 table format. Above is how we started the match off. Turn one the fighters rushed towards each other, while the raider and corvettes began setting themselves up for Capital vs Capital ship combat. Jonus however got 2 hits from range 3 on Kath's shields reducing them to two, which was a lucky break. Turn two is where the Furball began. My TIE int went up in flames, my defender and everyone he was flying in formation with, (the academies, and the phantom) were all ionized by some well timed missiles. My bombers fearlessly charged Kath and her scum friends, and since they moved first, they were rammed by Kath. I had my sights all set up on the scum's HWK, cluster missiles + a range one shot from jonus, 9 attack dice? A piece of cake. Unfortunately, Mandal motors had other idea's. (and my Red Dice).
Edit: The rest of the story!
So the Scum list we let slide in with the Rebels as hired guns. The pilots were as follows:
PILOTS
Serissu (20)
Kavil (24)
Binayre Pirate (12)
Palob Godalhi (20)
Kath Scarlet (38)
Guri (30)
so Basically when they fly together, ships get allot of bonuses at the start of combat. This made focusing anything a challenge, even at range one. My results of the 9 attack dice thrown at the HWK (6 from 2 attacks of cluster missiles from Ryhmer, 3 from a normal attack from jonus) Failed to hit anything. In fact, the only thing that hit was my bomb, and the proton torpedos at the very beginning. Anyway....
So I keep rolling blanks, my TIE's go up in smoke, Jonus get's ioned twice as well, which keep's him in the same spot for about 3 turn's, which works out good because A) He blocks Kath from moving 2 turn's in a row, and B) since he was damaged, all of the other ships converge to shoot him. Rhymer break's formation from Jonus, and drops a Proton Bomb right in the middle of the HWK, Kath, Z-95, and jonus himself.(Yes I bombed myself, and in this case risk = reward). I made the mistake of trying to run my Defender to the other end of the table to assault one of CR-90's, but was run down by Jake Farrel, and his awesome yet deadly A-wing.
The TIE phantom... Never again will enhanced scopes grace my Phantom. A ship that relies on taking a cloak action to stay alive moving first in tight furball's was not a good idea on my part. I decloaked and then ran straight into an X-wing, and was finished off by the Z-95. Even though this misfortune befell me, it was still cool to fly my phantom, and echo's pilot ability make's for some interesting mechanics.
When I left the CR-90 and Raider were still slugging it out, the falcon was gone, the mid table CR-90 was so far out of the battle it was doing nothing useful, and the mid table Raider had finally entered what was left of the fighter fray. We all decided about mid way through the match that we would definitely meet up next week and play again. I have refined my list so now it look's something like this:

What really ruined my day was the autoblaster turret on the Y-wing, not being able to evade dice results, that is. Overall I had a good time and it was fun to dust off my Imperials. Hopefully I'll have a better, detailed rundown for you guy's next week. Until then, stay safe and fly casual! ![]()
