TLT have made my viper lists very difficult to fly these days, however, I agree with the OP about having to try new things. I have picked up my Yv-666 and found two of them plus some wingmen extremely effective against the TLT meta, because they just have so much health.

However, the real counter to TLT is obvious.

4 Shuttles. With Engine upgrades or One with the Emperor and one with Vader, to keep it thematic.

Right on... also the Falcon because even when you magnetize the mounts and rotate the ships all cool looking like, you still can not see them bottom guns.

So the little buggers can be removed and used where they can be seen. Very cool.

Yeah I saw them at FB X-Mod group. He did a great job. When I make mine I am going to use two so a Decimator bottom cannon can make two of these new TLT's.

It is a good idea, looks right and works great. You can not see the bottom guns on Decimators or Falcons, so why not make a cool new use of them.

I have seen my images posted ALL Over the internet. Once in a while I was even credited.

All I feel when these pop up on google searches and other peoples venues is happiness. I like that some people enjoy my stuff.

Tested twice against both the Rebel 4Ys with TLT and Scum 4Ys with TLT. Both times used Tie Swarm with

Ap, 4 x Obs, Backstabber and Howlrunner with Swarm.

This squad was still competitive (but not necessarily Top 4) before Wave 7 was released. I feel if flown well and them dices turn up, can over Y Wings TLT builds. In the tests managed to win both under 50 mins. However I'm not sure if my Swarm would do as well with a two evade dice ship with TLT such as HWK. A build with Jan Ors would probably cause problems. As well as any build that include Biggs.

Any TLT based squad with Biggs is a concern for me

Standard Howlrunner obsidian Swarm should pick it apart... Howl dies pretty quickly but, our swarms have a new place to shine - with the high agility making the TLT have a bit more trouble dealing it's damage - and large numbers of small guns which can pick apart Y-wing Agility, while having enough hull to tax the TLTs and whittle ships down more quickly than you'll lose guns.

Additionally, We can look to the Initiative bid, with the Obsidian swarm in a prime position to outbid the PS2 of the Y-wings. Firing first can even knock a TLT out before it fires.

Given the damage coming out of the howl swarm - you should be able to trade 2 y-wings for 3 ties.

Howlrunner + Hull may have a similarly good chance.

We can also try increasing the HP - and bringing back the bomber swarm.

I suspect we may see a return of swarms, and a new cutoff of PS 2, giving life to the PS 3-6 metagame,which can only be a good thing. Especially given that the rebels can now make meaningful 5-7 ship builds, I'd expect - if the TLT is strong but balanced - and is predatory enough against the two ship meta and arc dodgers, that jousting lists may come back up and we'll have the most wide open meta of all.

There is nothing wrong with expecting credit. That's why some artists put watermarks into their work. Crediting him and offering him an apology costs you nothing.

No need for anyone to throw the toys out the pram. If this mystery guy (who hasn't cared enough about it to actually post here himself) didn't want his work to go uncredited he should have watermarked the image. But it's just an X-Wing mod... so a big "huh!?" from me.

Nothing stops you from using both apart from cost. I would however agree that the cheaper just ATC version seems more appealing.
