Well last time I used autoceptors this same friend was using the outrider and he almost blew a blood vessel because he could not land a hit.

But if he's gonna use multiple tlt y-wings I'm not gonna be merciful, I deliberately avoid any meta builds to keep things fun but I can and will go full on btard if needs be.

Just run Vader with predator atc and engine, soontir with thrusters ptl and targeting computer and ogp with Palpatine. Tlt has a hard time scratching that and those two dodging get into a donut and erase a y wing in 2 rounds at most.

The problem is that when I don't run a meta build all my friends bring obnoxious meta ****. And then when I bring obnoxious meta **** my friends are flying something wacky and I autowin and feel bad.

Maybe we should plan these things out, form gentlemen's agreements. And then someone will show up last minute and plop Super Dash and Super Corran down. >_>

I don't want to have to fly quad TLT's constantly just to smear ice cream on my face more effectively than my opponent. I have a feeling it's going to be a while before TLT's finally take over, ugh. Because right now, all TLT has done in my area is given the rebels another obnoxious fat turret: Miranda.

Personally, I've found Vader to be...distressingly easy to kill

I pack two conners to open up aces to tlt, but I've ended up just using them to knock Vader's last hull off after the initial exchange :P

What steps are there to take, though? It's a terribly simple card.

The real fix would've been costing it more to start with.

A modification upgrade (or an upgrade elsewhere):

Adjust as needed. Change a blank to evade, as a modification, For 1 pt (2 is more fair). That would neuter TLT. As its situational enough that it's not overpowered.

On top of things like lone wolf, predator, sensor jammer and thrusters, bye-bye TLT meta.

So this way we can go back to playing nothing but Fat Turrets. Yep.

The counter to TLT ships is concentrated fire from traditional arc based lists. Once TLT's take over, the counter to them will be to play fun lists! But no, have to go back to Soontir Deci dittos.

I lost pretty hard today with a 4 TLT HWKs and a Z against a Transdoshan Slaver with K4 and Outlaw Tech and Tactician, 2 TLT Y Wings, and a Z. Huh, a meta where flying a normal-*******-list is a soft counter to the top tier list.

Ever since I flew my nationals list against something my buddy was just trying out we have made said gentlemans agreement to discuss if the list we are bringing is competitive or fun before the game.

Good point. The TLT is terrible at 2 dice, and it drops the primary to junk.

Poe Dameron, correctly outfitted, is going to be a pain for TLTs.

Edit: The problem with Poe vs TLTs is he still only has 2 agility dice. With his ability it makes it harder for TLTs as they need 3 hits to reliably get through, but with tokens that's still a pretty consistent 1 damage per turn. So a 3-4 TLT list is still probably going to inflict 3-4 damage per round that they are in range. (It'll be harder with an R2D2 or R5-P9 to regen shields, of course). The advantage Poe has is being able to boost into the donut hole and then inflict a 4-dice range one shot on the TLT target. So there's some balance -- it's not an auto-win either way. Same with Interceptors except they are more fragile due to half the health.

Yeah, you need to save TL's and combo them with focus to sneak damage through on autothrusters Poe.

98 points, so Swarm Tactics or Squad Leader would be good. Squad Leader is 2 points, right?

Engine is there to boost into range 1 of TLT ships. Flight Instructor is there to help with TLT's. All PS 3+ is there to counter PS 2 TLT. Firespray should last a while against TlT, it'll be a damage sponge.

To be fair, you would consider a children's mobile outfitted with two yt1300s an exciting game of x wing.

Well, there was a limited amount I could say when I wrote the OP. But yeah, the T-70 with Autothrusters is going to be a pretty tough counter for any TLT--especially once you start looking at any other defensive upgrade or pilot ability.

Too bad Red Ace can't Juke...

Yeah, Juke on TIEs is also going to be a tough nut for TLTs to crack.
