I would love to see more sea based games with a pirates of the carribean feel. Put it down to a boyish love of pirates I think FFG should try that premise but yet try to make it deep enough to catch people and keep them involved.

I think there is a lot to be done with a pirate theme, maybe something like Puerto Rico, where there are many roles to the pirate game and you would have to play those parts to get through life at sea.

AARGH!!! Pirates would definitely be an interesting game. Based on the quality of the other titles I am sure that they could come up with something good with this theme. Plus, with the fantasy elements of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise being so accepted I would imagine they would have more than just the historical aspects to play with if they wanted.

I agree this would fill a nice gap in the FFG Themes. The last great annoucement for a Pirate Game was Merchant and Marauders www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/25292/merchants-marauders which sadly has not gone anywhere so far. After seeing the original rules published for this game was hopeing FFG would have picked it up.

Also how about FFG picking up the Alien License and publishing a game based on the Movie?
