Hyperactive Horn

Hyperactive Horn build:

Corran Horn

Push the Limit

R2-F2

Advanced Sensors

Experimental Interface

Out of curiosity (bearing in mind the action bar restriction on PtL) could I take the same action twice?

Particularly if I Adv. Sensor: action bar, Interface: R2-F2, PtL: action bar

For instance could I Adv. Sensor: evade, Interface: R2-F2, then PtL: evade for two stress? (Or one stress if my -eventually- revealed manouevre is green)

Alternatively could I Adv. Sensor:R2-F2, Interface: R2-F2; PtL: action bar?

Or do all three actions need to be different?

You cannot take the same action twice in a round.

You can receive Tokens from multiple sources in a round, though.

Also, you really don't want R2-F2 on Corran Horn. You get more defensive mileage out of a simple Focus action.

Thanks Dracon, wasn't really planning to run him this way. Just theory crafting and wasn't sure about the actions offhand. I only threw R2-F2 on as a trigger for Interface.

It's a hideously expensive shenanigans build (47pts) just for poos and giggles.

In that case, he seems to have left his Advanced Proton Torpedoes at home.

Actually, THIS might be the case where you could use R2-F2 effectively. Corran moves, Focus action, PTL: Evade, EI: R2-F2. You are throwing 4 to 6 dice (depending on range and obstruction) with an evade and a focus.

of course I think you end up double stressed, and the E dial isn't quite as forgiving as the A dial.

With Advanced Sensors you could immediately reveal a green so you only start the next round with a single stress.

You probably be better off with R2-D2 and a Stealth device if that is what you are going for.

The PTL, EI, R2-F2 combo can only be used every other round at best.

I haven't looked at the numbers (and don't really plan to), but R2-F2+Focus is probably pretty good. Nothing is worth double stress on Corran, though.

Agreed. I might try ptl/r2-f2 and see if it's effective at all. One stress, but raised evade and a focus... leaves him kind of week for attacking, but with any strategy in this game you have to chose your moments. Probably pair him the any number of ships that now get to give/share focus tokens... I don't know, I'm probably now trying so hard to fit that square peg into the round hole, that I've lost sight of the big picture...
