Help with whisper list

Currently in a whisper mood. I want to build a fun yet very competitive list using whisper and maybe even echo also. Please help me with what ships match well together to cover weaknesses and synergize together for a winning experience

Im not one who likes lists that synergize I prefer to build lists that give people problems to deal with.

If you want to run both Echo and Whisper together you are not going to have a lot of points to spare so you are going to really be stuck with a Tie Fighter for the third ship. I have seen someone run it though and he ran it with Dark Curse he did rather well as well.

It totals up to 98pts allowing you a little initiative bid for Echo and Whisper and you can interchange the Rebel Captive and Recon Spec on Whisper to fit your preference. Also don't forget that with Intel Agent on Echo you can see one of their dials within range before you decloak which is awesome.
Personally I prefer to run Whisper with a Interceptor and a Doomshuttle but that might be because I just like Vader force crushing ships and having a bigger ship on the table makes me more comfortable about being shot at but that list goes like this...

Totals up to 97pts total which I prefer for an Initiative bid for Whisper to shoot first which is important and is part of the reason why I took Turr over Soonthir. The only problem with this is that you are very vulnerable to taking Stress so Rebel Captive will hurt you to shoot at it either negating Turr's ability or Whispers cloak. Alternatively take Carnor or Soonthir or you can swap some things out to make the Shuttle pilot "Yorr" to help with Stress but it doesn't change to much just modify to suit your preference.
If you want to take a really crazy Echo/Whisper though you could try this, Not done it personally I just found it on the internet and though it seemed interesting as a concept.

Theory was that you use Advanced Sensors to preform your action before move as an evade or focus then proc PtL to take the alternate option so when you take the focus Recon spec will give you a second focus so you now have 2 focus and an evade token. Then you take your move after this resolves which is either a green move to clear stress or you have Yorr in a shuttle within range to take the stress off of you so you can take the free cloak action after attacking and if you are Whisper get 2 more focus though it's probably easier to pull of with Echo as her decloak moves will help you stay at range 2-3 keeping you alive longer.

Whisper is a gamble now more than ever. But... You still need that PS bid. I'm a buzzsaw whisper junky, but I do like IA as a cheaper alternative. So that sot of eats up all of your points.

I could see FCS on colzet as a cheap way to sneak some extra efficiency into whispers reds, and a somewhat resilient 2nd/3rd ship.

Whisper has VI and ACD, guaranteed. That combo is simply too strong to ignore

However, the Crew and Systems can be altered to change Whisper's role drastically.

While you're working with that flexibility, consider A) What other ships can be added to make Whisper even more outrageous, or B) What other ships excel vs. ships against whom Whisper struggles?

That way lies synergy and power.

Weakness = green dice.

The Emperor bridges helps bridge that gap. AP's are quite potent with the emp too. They fire last, so if you made it through the round without using the emp, that's a free crit on hopefully a stripped target.

You don't need EU and FCS on the shuttle, but I'd rather have the shuttle make a firing run then run away. This way it gives your opponent a target rather than sending whisper in direct. Just my preference. Otherwise that's 6 more points.

I've never really had much luck with the whole decoy scheme, but I've never tried it with vader 2.0. Actually this seems pretty interesting. PS11 vader can move last to out fly soontir and mirror vader, then give his PS to whisper if needed to activate ACD. Both arc dodgers so they can dance around each other as long as they keep range 1-2, with AP's as blockers. Using echo instead is an option too.

HEALTH might be a weakness, but your damage mitigation is clearly a strength.

That being said, you also introduced a few items that buff Whisper's strengths: Unpredictable Positioning (Int Agent), and Palpatine (Mitigation).

Palpatine should not be used to buff Whisper's damage unless it results in a killshot.

That's new (too me at least). Nice one! I like echo for this as his biggest weakness is probably the ps 8 cap. Intelligence agent should probably stay put. With the two free points I would trade the two academy pilots in for a sigma squadron pilot with an extra intelligence agent. Like this:

I didn't mean that 4 green dice is a weakness. Maybe 'weakness' is too strong of a word. I meant that when relying on green dice, its 'downside' is that there is always an inherent risk because with relatively low health, you can only afford 1-2 failed rolls. Sure over 100 games it's not a big deal. But over 5 games? that's another matter.

The Emperor helps reduce the risk of a catastrophic failure, when needed. But also significantly improves Whisper's offense at the same time.

Yes decloaking is a strength as it provides unpredictability. Its downside is that it must be done before anyone moves. IA helps mitigate this. So yes, if you reduce the inherent downside of any advantage, you are only strengthening it overall. 6 of one, half dozen of another.

I really have been digging on Whisper too. I have this list that I intend to run next time I get a chance to play.
