Future Asylum Pack Ideas?

By SuperKalelJorson7, in CoC General Discussion

Now that we're into the Dreamlands cycle, anybody have any ideas/requests/hopes for future releases?

Here are a few of mine:

Reprint some of the CCG APs like Dunwich Denizens.

Reprint some more of the CCG core set cards- even in AP format if it works for FFG.

How about APs based on each faction- or cards that interact with other factions- e.g. like MU cards that make Yog cards cheaper, or a Cthulhu AP that does not contain any Cthulhu cards- just other factions cards that help or hinder Cthulhu faction cards. I think making different factions into alliances could be fun.

Nyarlathotep and Ithaqua- two of my faves need to make their LCG premiere.

Any other ideas?

In case you consider Reprinting, Spawn of Madness and Kingsport Dreams should be far more appreciate.

But I'd rather see something realted to others stories from the mythos that were not developped yet ! The mythos is to provide extra ideas to Nate ^^

I would like to see more material drawn from HPL's and fellow authors stories. There are a lot of characters and locations that could be used. An AP series based upon the Xothic Cycle of Lin Carter or The Lurker at the Threshold, as examples would be great ideas, IMO. Where is Herbert West, the Shunned House, Brown Jenkin...etc. I'd like to see more of these sort of elements added to the game.

I'd rather that FFG would release a special CCG conversion to LCG package in which they would convert 100 or so cards a month to LCG format, and keep the monthly packs with brand new stuff for the LCG, instead of having another copy of a card from the CCG. I'd give anything for them to release special releases (maybe on a quarterly or at least twice a year) of CCG to LCG conversions. Maybe convert 100 or so cards in each box.

Keep the LCG packs as new LCG cards, not reprints of CCG cards.

I think 20 cards per AP is a bad proportion due to the number of factions...

This gives to you 2 cards from each faction (too few!) and the amount of 6 neutral cards... maybe would be better 24 cards, 3 for each faction and for neutral

I am agree, only 2 card from each faction is few.

It's really not an easy question. The Mysterious Case of Charles Dexter Ward - not mythos - is great but perhaps too narrow, CDW card notwithstanding. Herbert West Reanimator would draw alot of interest and be wide open to FFG interpretation. We did Dunwich. Innsmouth is too done. A creative story set in Arkham could be nice, like a Professor Layton. Dreamlands II and III make sense. We don't have a Call of Cthulhu story based deck, no Emma, no Bayou Blasphemy. But we've got all the bad guys and Idols and Legrass. We could return to Egypt. An homage to the lovecraft circle and beyond would be nice, as long as it didn't lose its way in ravens and mad plays.

The current AP cycles use original stories, so I don't think you're going to see straight redoing of HPL stories. I'd say the next cycle is pretty far away. Personally, I would be interested in a full Dunwich AP cycle, since the setting is extremely rich (see the Dunwich's CoC RPG book).
