I wonder who is statistically better, Kavil or Tim Horton?
Kavil, but it's close, and things change depending on how you're able to modify the dice and how much you spend to do it.

Heh, maybe Laetin will finally get his day in the sun, then. Just dodge that initial shot and rack up the evade tokens!
Sadly he won't. Thrusters >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> laetin ![]()
An engine upgraded Han will go from out of range to range one in a single turn and avoid a lot of TLT madness. Hell still take some hits but not nearly as many as you might think.High health, low agi DETEST tlts
Han and cheri are just screwed (and it's glorious!)
Sadly bs also suffer (and they're too slow to rush into range 1. They do pack enough dice to frighten tlt ships, though. Victory comes down to how well you can concentrate fire on one target.
You can't get 4 TLT's into range one unless they're flying tight. None will and engine or not Han just melts. Try it out on the table. It's almost sad.
They will have to fly fairly tighr or its just going to be your ships shooting at one or two of their Y's. And I understand you'll probably always take 2-4 shots because of spacing buy you should never be in a position to let 3+ Y's get in that range band.
Anyone consider trying thug life against tlt-squad?
It has high hitpoints in multiple ships, you put out more damage a turn than tlt and with ions and two modified attacks you're looking at being able to hurt and control the tlt ships.

Yup. Thug Life hits like a swarm and is full of cheap hit points, so it's going to be at least a decent matchup.

Very true. You even have four points left over, for either two Hired Guns or one and a PS bid.
I love how people assume that high agility will beat TLT. Those people have obviously never actually flown against them, because let me tell you, your Interceptors, Awings, Aggressors and Vipers will be puddy in the hands of these turrets. (Aggressors are the best contender just because they have some health to back up the high agility)
How you kill these evil TLT? Munitions them in the face with a higher health tank like the Bomber or Ywing, or Bwing swarm them. 2 health pre attack is what Bwings are made to fight against. They can take the onslaught long enough to not care.
The thing that makes TLTs a strong choice is that even against the stuff they do the worst against, they still do about as good as a 3 dice attack. There's not much difference in the results you get when attacking a B-Wing with a Blaster Turret than you do with a TLT.
It's really not that bad
Tlts mulch low ago; are practically worthless against thrusters. Aggressors in particular are basically auto-loss for them.
4 gold with tlt and R2 are very difficult to beat. We are talking about 110% jousting efficiency here. Those are serious rrape machines.

Maybe the digital dice are less fickle
Either way, doesn't really take much to see that 8 health behind 3 agi + thrusters (which can and will cancel a lot of tlts) + higher PS with high mobily + large base + boost are a pretty **** good answer
The only winning move is to outplay (and pray for bad greens)

Maybe he's just one of the most basic trolls you see on any message board.
I do think that ptl aggressors are a good match up and probably pretty fair fight. You get to focus evade and thruster. It's still a lot of dice coming your way but if you can fly so that you only engage 1-2 in the 2-3 range band close to one and exit quickly you should have a good chance to get a win in.

Thinking about:
[27] Torkil, TLT, Glitterstim
[25] Spice, TLT, Greedo, Glitterstim

no moldy crow for multiple focuses?
The spice must flow!
No, the dice must flow
no moldy crow for multiple focuses?
Would have to drop Greedo and 1 Glitterstim for that to work. The idea here is that you pop Glitterstim on all 4 ships on the turn when they all have shots on the biggest threat.
Drops miss chance to 25% and dodge-fail chance to 37.5% on every single one of TWENTY-FOUR/eight dice for that turn.
ah...

Rough, and open to all kinds of amusing recreational drug themed squad names. Finding the points for Torkil is just insult to injury. I thought Spice Runners would be the nastiest carriers because they could fit Feedback Arrays to fill the range 1 gap, but Glitterstim might be better overall. It's certainly a more optimisic choice, and will be better if you do everything right. It's going to be awfully hard to kill a Spice Runner in one turn if it's popped Glitterstim.
I'm running this vs 4 TLT Ys right now, it's hilarious.
Torkil down on turn 1, though.
tbh I'm just using it as Spice Girls -1
