In the Name of the Emperor: Rogue Trader is now on sale!

By FFG_Sam Stewart, in Rogue Trader

Hello Rogue Trader fans,

Rogue Trader is now on sale at retailers and Fantasy Flight Game's webstore!

Not in Europe it isn't....

And Amazon.com still hasn't given me a shipping date. Time to find somewhere else to buy it.

I wonder if those of us getting it earlier this week did have retailers jumping the gun. (One reason why I didn't mention mine by name.)

Any word from anyone out there on when this is hitting FLGSs? Or Borders/B&N stores?

I called around to a few in my area (Seattle, WA) and no one had any idea when. At all. Not a word.

Just curious....

Well, it's not Seattle, but my FLGS (Eclectic Games, Reading, England) is expecting their shipment in the middle of next week. I imagine similar for most stores across Europe, and I can't see why the situation would be wildly different in the US...

WOO-HOO!

I just talked to my awesome FLGS & the book hits this Friday.

I'll start reading it Saturday since I'll be running my 4th Edition D&D campaign on Friday evening. gran_risa.gif

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! Just got my copy today! YAHOO!

Time to roll up my crew and getting mad loot... for The Emperor. gui%C3%B1o.gif

It's hit a couple of SF Bay shops as a number of people in my group have picked up copies. A lot of it depends on how often they get shipments, and the number they ordered. A small store might get it's shipment once a week, while a large store might get a shipments every few week. My local store must have ordered a fair number as there was a stack of at least 5 other copies for preorder, and 5-6 more on the front shelf.

darklament, which store did you talk to? I live in Seattle and all I've been able to get is maybes...

How can I read with you guys shouting?!?...

Bad news: My assinine kid left the receipt on the dining room table and the wife found it. Now my backside is raw and has chew marks all over it. "$50 bucks! AGAIN?!!? Do you feel you ALWAYS have to buy something everytime you go to Krier's?!? (the game store...)"

LOL... gotta hide the evidence man! That's why I order online... no paper trail. gui%C3%B1o.gif

She finds out eventually. She pays the CC bill...

darklament,

While it's a bit south of Seattle, I picked up my copy from Olympic Cards & Comics (253-459-7721) in Lacey/Olympia (it's in the border between the two). They had about 10 copies of the regular edition and 1 CE. All were in excellent condition. I had to pass on the CE, but it might still be there. Give them a call and they can probably hold one for you.

amazon shipped mine out today. Just so people don't go switching their orders out of frustration or anything...

It'll pair well with my collector's edition so I don't ruin it with continual use.

Huh, I just got a "we're very sorry" email from them today, saying it was still not is stock.

Go figure. Thankfully I got my Collectors Edition to read anyway :)

The Boy Named Crow , the Dreaming in the U-District. I'm pretty sure he's getting a lot of copies.

I'm headed there after work today cool.gif

My order will ship in two days.

I sent an email to Amazon yesterday and got a reply today.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that ordered was delayed. I've checked and looking into your order, I see that "Rogue Trader RPG: Core Rulebook" is back-ordered. I'm sorry about this delaywe certainly didn't expect that this would happen.

Please keep in mind that the availability and shipping time frames listed on our web site are estimates, not guarantees. While we do our best to adhere to these estimates, our inventory is constantly changing based on information we receive directly from our suppliers.

It appears that the current availability estimate listed on our web site may not yet reflect the most recent information provided to us by our suppliers. I apologize for any inconvenience caused to you.

Although the shipping method is faster, it'll still take some time to get the book. As soon as we receive more stock, we'll ship your order and send you an e-mail to let you know.

Keep in mind that your item may be available via an Amazon Marketplace seller (you'll be able to see if this is the case by conducting a normal product search on Amazon.com). If one of our partner sellers has the item, feel free to cancel your outstanding order and place a new one with Marketplace merchant.

I can confirm that we still expect to ship your order by October 23. It should be delivered to you by October 23.

What a crock...October 23rd, really? I'm going to check my local stores and then cancel my order and go with someone else (whether local or online). It's the first time I pre-ordered anything through Amazon ... so needless to say I'm not doing that again.
