Shady Dealings patrol question

By animattor78, in Imperial Assault Campaign

What figures make up each patrol?

Haven't got my TS yet, so I can't give you any idea without more info :D

don't have the rulebook handy but we played this one.

If i recall, you pick two cards during the setup, one for each patrol and just set them aside until the patrol spawns.

These patrols cannont be worth more than twice the threat level. So if the threat level was 4, each patrol could be an 8 point card.

Are those two cards in addition to your open groups?

What figures make up each patrol?

You get to create 2 patrols that are deployed during specific mission events. You place them on the table (not the game board) near the Cantina and Junk Shops.

The way I read this is create a patrol using any number of cards up to the value of eight. Eg stormtrooper and imperial officer. This is one patrol. Then create another patrol using the same rules so for example heavy Stormtrooper elite.

Can't use creatures or deployment cards from the reserve open or initial groups.

For me though I need the last part clarifying as I see it a lot in the core campaign. Does it mean if you have two Stormtrooper squads and one is in the initial group then you can't use your second one in the special setup or does it simply mean you can't pull that card from the other group and use it in the special setup group. I've always played the former in that if you have enough cards with matching miniatures then you can say use Stormtroopers even though they are in the other groups.

I would take it literally. If a Stormtrooper is in your Open Group, it cannot be used for your Special Setup.

But in the case of Shady Dealings - just don't add Stormtroopers to your Open Group and you can use them in your patrol.
