Imperial tournament

Hey all I have my first tournament coming up and this was the list I was planning on bringing

Vader

Tie/X1

Advanced targeting computer

Predator

Engine upgrade

Soontir fel

Push the limits

Autothrusters

Turr phennir

Push the limits

Auto thrusters

Any critics or certain match ups I

should look out for would be appreciated

I ran Vader in a tourney this weekend, but with Outmaneuver instead of Predator and loved it! Being able to reduce a turret ship agility is awesome... especially if its a C3P0 YT-1300... cause then 3P0 does nothing!

Other than the obvious "It is a low-HP list that is susceptible to turrets" observation, no it looks to be a solid arc-dodging list.

If you stress Turr before he shoots, you lose your free BR/Boost with him. The double action after his attack can be nice, but I might make a change there.

Consider swapping PtL on Turr for VI, then use the extra 3 points (since your above list is at 99) to add Stealth to Fel to make him that much harder to kill.

Also, that puts all 3 pilots at PS9, and allows Turr to make use of his free BR/Boost before most would have a chance to shoot at him.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Definitely having a hard time deciding with Vader between predator and outmaneuver. Definitely gunna run vi on turr

In the past the only issue I've found with have SD on Fel and not on Turr is that Turr then becomes the first to die quickly.

Proton Rockets or Ion Pulse Missiles on Darth can give hit a hard hitting range 1 attack or ability to Ion a large base ship.

Prior to twin laser turrets, I would agree that VI Turr was viable. Not in the twin laser turret meta. He dies way too easily. He needs push the limit now unfortunately.

You use push the limit in activation phase when his post shot movement provides no tactical advantage. You DO NOT push the limit in activation phase if a boost or barrel roll after shooting would be really helpful (then push the limit for both or for an evade token if you will still need token defense)

so:

Movement

Action (focus)

Shoot

Boost/BR

then PTL and either Boost/br whichever you didnt do.
