Tie aggressor anyone?

By Cyk0, in X-Wing Off-Topic

After realizing imerials have no ships with a turret upgrade slot I went on a chase for a viable candidate.

This is my best find so far...

How would you stat it out? Do you have a suggestion for a better candidate?

Arcs like a firespray

Turret upgrade slot option plus torpedo slot. Maybe a crew as well.

Upgrade to fire ordnance forward and behind or pilot ability.

Title: Turret limited to available arcs but 2 points cheaper.

I would assume that the turret can fire on anything but the primary arc or at the very least the rear 90 (looking at the model it seems it should be able to go further than 90 though)

Since it doesn't have standard chin lasers, instead going for modular external cannons racks. could you go with zero attack perhaps...

Reading about it on the wiki it shouldn't be to maneuverable and without shields... Its going to be fragile!

Based on your start

0/2/4/0 Reasonably bad maneuver card

Cannon, and torpedo slot, maybe crew yea... What would be a good call there?

Title: Ad turret slot,Turret can't fire in the front arc but two points cheaper.

Do you think it would be a good addition to the imperial lineup? How much should it cost? (Probably quite low considering its fragile and needs upgrades to even attack) Maybe it should be a bit more expensive but have say a 3 point cannon discount? (to stop people from only running it with turrets)

I have actually worked on some ideas for this and made a couple of conversions:

The dial is the same as a TIE Advanced but the 5 straight is a red maneuver. The rear arc is 180 degrees but acts as an auxiliary fire arc like a Firespray. The ship is certainly not a powerhouse but is more a "harassment" unit that can engage targets while flying away.

Here is how a made them:

Sorry for the slow reply , that is really nicely done!

The model and the cards look seamless with the regular stuff.

I think its a bit sad from a flexibility standpoint, that you did not go with a turret upgrade slot. Since that is something lacking from imperials altogether. Based on the model I still think an all but front turret arc seems fine, but I guess having a blind spot is interesting from a game-play standpoint.

(Npt going with a cannon based forward weapon is certainly not as important, even though having it on something cheaper and more fragile than a defender shakes up the imperial lineup a bit, as well as incentiveicing doing more than flying away from the enemy)

Basing it on the advance is genious. Personally I would also make a 90 degree turn red (and the lack of barrel roll feels of... I mean if a clunky tie bomber has it...)
