It's interesting because that Y is definitely going to take some aggro.
I won a store championship with Jan on a B-wing. The list was:
Biggs
Gaven
Blue+FCS
Blue+E2 Title+Jan
Jan is a pain and your opponent will WANT to kill the Blue with Jan first, but will be forced to fire at Biggs. Biggs will have his first action (focus) turned into an evade and Gaven will then pass his focus to Biggs every round. Biggs, the day I won the store championships with this list, only died once (Played 6 games). Stress has become a bigger issue since I last ran ths list and Bombs are going to shake up formation flying. I still think this is a good list and Jan plays a big part in it.

E2 is a modification, though. Otherwise, I'd be going crazy with crew and engine upgrade combos;P

It gives you better survivability against multiple attackers and, more importantly, doesn't cost an action to use. I don't have much experience with B-Wings (I'm primarily a Scum player), but the idea seems promising -- has anyone tried this?

I have toyed the with idea of putting C-3PO on a named B-wing, but the point cost adds up quick!
A 35 to 40 point B-wing is not the most effective use of said points. You will get more miles out of a Blue with a Z-Wing escort.
40 points on a small base ship with one agility works does not.
I've been having great fun with 3 blue squad Bs, 1 with accuracy corrector, E2 and 3po, 1 with FCS E2 and Jan, and 1 with Adv Sens E2 and Recon.
Plus a Proto with Refit to fill up the last 15 points.
Went 3 for nothing against the best player in my club's Brobot list a few months back.
I'm thinking of trying a few variations on the theme such as:
